    B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray is the upcoming debut album by American rapper B.o.B. It is scheduled to be released on April 27, 2010.

    The album was planned to be released at December 2009, but B.o.B pushed it back to 2010. In November 2009 during an interview he revealed that his debut album is set to be released in May 2010, but then he released a statement on twitter saying that it was to be released on May 25, 2010. On February 1 he released a mixtape titled May 25 in honor of his albums release date. The date of the album has since been pushed up to April 27, 2010 due to the success of his single "Nothin' on You". Nothin' on You achieved platinum status in sales on April 7, 2010.

    B.o.B released two street singles: "Haterz Everywhere" and "I'll Be in The Sky", which both have music videos, and another song called "No Man's Land" along with a music video, but none of the three songs will be included on the album. During the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards, B.o.B revealed to Angela Yee that Lupe Fiasco will be featured on his debut album. On November 25, B.o.B released his debut official single titled "Nothin' on You" featuring singer Bruno Mars, along with its official cover, and he revealed that it is the first single on the album. It has debuted at #89 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since moved up to the #1 position. B.o.B recently released a pre-order to his album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, on his website, which features three versions of his album, two of which are upgrades featuring added material. Eminem, T.I. and Lupe Fiasco will be featured on the album.

    So far his songs are more succesfull. NOY is #1 and Airplanes is doing great as well. He has 2 songs in top 2 on iTunes. SO he is already more succesfull. But Drake had more hype.

    I wouldn't compare B.o.B. and Drake, B.o.B. is more like Kid Cudi, with strong pop/rock influences, which is why his songs are charting higher on the Hot 100. Kid Cudi's Day & Night was a huge hit but his album sold less than Drake's.

    Next week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, it's looking like rapper B.o.B may enter at No. 1 on the chart with his debut effort, "The Adventures of Bobby Ray," perhaps selling around 80,000 to 85,000 by week's end on May 2, according to record label sources.

    If B.o.B's set sells that much, it could be the lowest sales week for the country's top selling album since last May, when Chrisette Michele's "Epiphany" debuted in the penthouse with 83,000.

    Here's the story heading into the weekend:
    * B.o.B. (Atlantic) 80-85k
    * Bullet for My Valentine (Jive/RED) 65-70k
    Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 65-70k
    Justin Bieber, My World 2.0 (Island/IDJ) 60-65k
    Usher (LaFace/JLG) 40-45k
    AC/DC, Iron Man 2 (Columbia) 40-45k
    * Melissa Etheridge (Island/IDJ) 40-45k
    Glee Cast, Power of Madonna (Columbia) 28-32k
    * Miranda Cosgrove (Columbia) 28-32k
    Now 33 (Capitol/EMI) 28-32k
    Lady Gaga, The Fame (Interscope) 24-27k
    Justin Bieber, My World (Island/IDJ) 24-27k

    Drake already had 6 top 20 hits, including 4 Top 10 songs...plus 2 Top 30 featurings such as money to blow (birdman) and say something (timbaland).

    B.o.B. has so far achieved 2 top 10 singles, NOY and Airplanes (including a n°1 for two weeks) and his album is going to debut at the top of the Billboard chart.

    Commercially Drake is ahead of him, but B.o.B. is a way better artist...I'm only disappointed by the fact that his 2 best songs so far aren't on the album. I'm talkin about I'll Be In The Sky and Put Me On. Real hip-hop.

    B.o.B Bounds In At No. 1 On The Billboard 200
    May 05, 2010

    Editor: Keith Caulfield; Contributors: Gary Trust, Alex Vitoulis; Editorial Director: Silvio Pietroluongo

    21-year-old rapper B.o.B arrives atop the Billboard 200 with his debut set, "The Adventures of Bobby Ray," selling 84,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan . . . It marks the first time a solo male artist has earned a No. 1 album on the chart with their debut release since 2006.

    FLASH POINTS

    • 21-year-old rapper B.o.B bounces in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week with his debut set, "The Adventures of Bobby Ray," selling 84,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It marks the first time a solo male artist has earned a No. 1 album on the chart with their debut release since Aug. 26, 2006, when Rick Ross' "Port of Miami" opened atop the list with 187,000.

    • B.o.B's start of 84,000 makes it the third straight week where the No. 1 album in the United States sells fewer than 100,000 copies. That's the longest sub-100,000 run at the top since February 2009, when Taylor Swift's "Fearless" spent its last three (of 11) weeks at No. 1.

    • B.o.B (given name Bobby Ray Simmons) has already had a taste of No. 1 success on the Billboard charts, as the album's lead single, "Nothin' on You" (featuring Bruno Mars), spent two weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

    ^ I prefer Part I, without Eminem.

    Anyways, 'Airplanes' is up to a new peak of #2 on Aussie iTunes (+ #107 as well), looks like it'll battle 'OMG' and 'California Gurls' for #1 next week here.
