BFG was their best selling album. I am not sure about sales of Alone but it got Platinum in Europe for sales of at least 1 million.

Here are the peaks I have for Spain, from the cover of the „Best of Modern Talking“ album released in Germany in 1988 (only showed chart positions up to Jet Airliner) - apparently uses a different source.

Starting with "Don't Worry", my files match with what you have.

    You're My Heart, You're My Soul 2.
You Can Win If You Want 2.
    Cheri Cheri Lady 1.
    Brother Louie 1.
    Atlantis Is Calling 2.
    Geronimo's Cadillac 1.
    Lonely Tears in Chinatown 9.
    Jet Airliner 3.

The First Album went gold in Finland, although it seems to be missing from the IFPI database. Spent five weeks at #1.

According to the following site, there are some additional certification-awards for Modern Talking in France:

Cheri Cheri Lady is credited with a Silver-Award, although its real Sales were around 77.000 copies, if I do interprete the french words "Ventes Reelles" right.

Brother Louie (the original 1986 version) achieved a silver-award with total sales of around 347.000 units.

You Can Win If You Want is shown with Gold. Sales are given with 277.000 units, that was Silver by then at least.

You're My Heart, You're My Soul (1985) had Sales of 715.000.

On the website of Axel Breitung, the Co-Producer of Modern Talking's Album "America", this album is credited with a platinum-award:

I don't know, how this is to handle.

I noticed that some of the chart positions on this website are wrong (for instance America's chart position in the Czech Republic), so not sure if everything is right. IFI Germany has America as Gold - then again they may have not updated it.

Ultimately, I'd tend to trust IFPI more though since they ultimately certify the awards. Maybe America got an in-house Platinum award from BMG that didn't end up getting certified or Dieter Bohlen from MT told Axel Breitung that America went Platinum. After all Dieter claimed that Juliet was #1 in Belgium when it didn't even enter the charts (even though it did quite well in airplay in Belgium). Who knows.

Thanks for the extra info for France!

Yes, you're right. It peaked at #2 and I think was certified Platinum for 20K shipped under the old method of certification (20K shipped).

"Why Do You Cry?" was a big airplay hit in Russia too, Modern Talking were huge there too.
