    She has quite a few classics actually when you think about it;

    Love To Love You Baby
    I Feel Love
    Last Dance
    Hot Stuff
    On The Radio
She Works Hard For The Money
This Time I Know It's For Real

    R.I.P. Donna Summer

Very sad news. 63 is too young. Radio stations like Radio 2 were giving good coverage of Donnas passing today yet they never playlisted her recent singles. Hypocrites. I think all the radio stations in the UK who didn't give any of her recent singles any radio airplay at all, ought to feel very ashamed of themselves. Her 2008 album Crayons was good. 'I'm a fire' should have been a top 10 hit in the UK, why not. Bad promotion?

My favourite song by Donna is MacArthur Park.

And as much as I love her classic singles, you don't know what you're missing until you dig a little deeper. She has some absolutely incredible album tracks.

So true. I'm pretty much going through her entire discography today

"Hot Stuff", "Love to Love You Baby" and "On The Radio" are Disco's most recognized songs perhaps!

I just discovered some of her lesser knows songs today while on the elliptical. Im really liking "loves unkind", Love is in control, and her version of There Goes My Baby. Her dance track from the 90s I will go with you is great also. She sort of led the way with that one for Cher's Believe! RIP!

The voice of a generation, the leader of a movement, the queen of the dance floor. Such a sad loss at such a young age nowadays. Yet another legend gone - they say all of the Hollywood legends are gone, but now it seems like music is going the same way. At this rate all we'll be left with are a generation of talent show contestants and Cher.
SLOW DOWN PAPI... NO MEN IN ME.

Easily the most iconic moment in Donna's career... who even remembers anything about this movie except this scene and song? Donna was already a rising star but this is what cemented her as an icon IMO

This is how I want to remember Donna - a lady who's voice could shake an arena to move, even at an event as important as the Nobel awards with a room full of a bunch of dignitaries. Full of life and happiness, with an amazing voice.

Oh I can't believe we'll never get any new music. *sigh*.

It is now that I realize that Madonna covered Donna's "I Feel Love" on her Confessions tour. Fantastic song.

We did get one final track just a few weeks ago, which was also what made it so shocking when I heard the news. Even though I'm not a fan of hip hop (the rapper is her nephew), her vocals were so amazing on it, and in a sense when you listen to the lyrics and how the song is about angels and life after death, I wonder if Donna really was intending this to be her farewell to her fans.

This is how I remember Donna: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOb45FNgldw

MacArthur Park live @ American Idol

Showstopping. It absolutely p!sses me off that Simon Cowell didn't give her a standing ovation though, yet he routinely gives much, much lesser star performers a standing ovation.

The little things in life wind me up!
