    As if only one Gorgon City song has ever gone top 10 for you, I used to love them especially between 2013 and 2016.

    My top 3 keeps static this week, with pnau leading the way at the top for a 7th week with "Solid Gold", Mika and Georgia are holding steady but no.4 sees Sigma get a second top 5 hit as "Dilemma" climbs.

    As well as getting her MTV Vanguard award this week, Missy Elliott dropped her new EP, ICONOLOGY and lead single "Throw It Back" is the weeks highest new entry at no.7. In all she has appeared on 35 number ones on my chart, most recently on A$AP Ferg's "Strive" in 2016 and her own "WTF" in 2015, her last top 10 appearance was "I'm Better", a no.2 in 2017. She also provides the weeks second highest new entry as "Dripdemeanor" enters at no.13.

    There's also three songs climbing into my top 10 this week, leading them is David Guetta's "Stay (Don't Go Away)", which has taken 13 weeks to get to no.8 and is now his highest peak since "Shed A Light" made no.5 in 2016. It also gives featured artist Raye, her highest peak so far, one better than her 2016 feature on Jax Jones' "You Don't Know Me".

    Zara Larsson scores her 6th top 10 hit as "All The Time" moves up to no.9 and Etta Bond gets a 5th top 10 hit as "I Like The Way" with Moon Willis is now no.10.

    Dance collaborations from Gorgon City/MK and Disciples/Eyelar both improve in my top 20 heading towards the top 10, while just outside at no.21, Stefflon Don gets her 10th appearance with "HIT ME up". She peaked in 2017, topping my chart with "Hurtin Me".

    Mahalia has been having lots of success here with latest single, "Simmer" peaking at no.2, she now gets a third entry with "Square One" entering at no.24.

    Yellow Claw gets a third entry, Saweetie a second, Jenn Morel a first and Inna a 32nd as "Baila Conmigo" goes in at no.25. Also there's a third hit from the LSD collaborative project, Paul Woolford gets his first entry, Karen Harding a 13th and Pep & Rash get their fourth.

    This week Sigrid's "Don't Feel Like Crying" achieves half a year in my top 50, a rare achievement, though Chris Malinchak did the same a few weeks back with "Wash My Soul" and is closing in now on his 30th week.

    The top 2 are locked for a third week and the number one for an 8th week as pnau's "Solid Gold" is still on top, while they also take the highest new entry at no.6 with "All Of Us", their 9th hit in all and 7th to go top 10. Meanwhile Missy Elliott climbs to no.3 with "Dripdemeanor", her first top 3 appearance since "I'm Betta" made no.2 in 2017, and Etta Bond picks up a 5th top 5 hit and first since "18" made no.2 in 2015 as "I Like The Way" is now no.4. Elsewhere in the top 10, Gorgon City pick up their second top 10 hit as "There For You" climbs to no.8, also giving MK his 6th top 10 appearance.

    Pusha-T is credited with his 5th appearance and first as lead artist as "Coming Home" debuts at no.11, he appeared on Stromae's 2014 no.1 "Meltdown" and Pixie Lott's 2011 no.3 "What Do You Take Me For?" as well as making no.6 with Kelis in 2000 under the pseudonym, Terra, Justin Timberlake's 2002 no.1 "Like I Love You" with Clipse and 702's 2003 no.2, "Star", also with Clipse. The new single features Lauryn Hill, who last appearaed in 2013, making no.17 with "Neurotic Society", she topped my chart on 1998's "Doo Wop (That Thing)".

    It's a good week for Brockhampton who shoot up to no.12 with "Boy Bye" and get their second hit with "If You Pray Right", making its debut at no.19. Mahmood topped my chart earlier this year with Italian Eurovision entry, "Soldi", now he secures a third chart entry as "Barrio" makes its debut at no.24.

    X Factor winners, Rak-Su have hardly taken the world by storm, but they do get a fourth charting entry here this week at no.29 with "Rotate (Clockwise)", they peaked in 2017 when coronation song, "Dilemo" made no.16.

    Donae'o gets his 6th entry this week and second as lead artist as "Bonita" is in at no.30, he was on FTSE's 2017 "Work U Out", making no.2 and on Fuse ODG's 2013 no.10 hit "Azonto", it also provides Stylo G with a 10th chart entry.

    Also this week, a first hit for Aitch, a 12th for Alpahbeat, an 8th for Bakermat and second for Declan McKenna.

    Pnau is killing it. I do like it though - it's starting to make an impact on me. Nice to see Bakermat sneak into your chart too. You should try and give "Tambulaya" by Pongo a listen sometime - might be up your street

    So the top 3 stay the same for a second week, the top 2 for a fourth week and the number one for a 9th week. The top 3 acts all currently have a second song in my top 50 too, leading them is PNAU who as well as keeping on top with "Solid Gold", climb to no.4 with "All Of Us". Gorgon City and MK continue their climb with "There For You" now at no.6, Zara Larsson turns back around to sore a new peak of no.8 with "All The Time" and Brockhampton climb to get their first top 10 hit with "Boy Bye" at no.10, while their other current one "If You Pray Right" is also up at no.14.

    Mahmood was one of 2 acts to top my chart from this years Eurovision song contest (the other being Kate Miller-Heidke), his third hit, "Barrio" now looks set to give him a second top 10 hit as it climbs to no.11.

    Since making no.5 with "I Know You Want Me" in 2009, Pitbull has achieved a top 20 hit as lead artist every year since, with the biggest from each being "Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)" (no.2, 2010), "Give me Everything" (no.4, 2011), "Back In Time" (no.3, 2012), "Timber" (no.3, 2013), "Fireball" (no.17, 2014), "Time Of Our Lives" (his only no.1, 2015), "Green Light" (no.6, 2016), "Por Favor" (no.14, 2017) and "Ocean To Ocean" (no.15, 2018), he continues this trend this week as his latest entry "3 To Tango" is the weeks highest new entry at no.16 giving him a 53rd chart appearance in all.

    After a slow start failing to make my chart with early releases, Meghan Trainor now makes "Run Like The River" an 8th top 20 hit out of 9 chart appearances as it moves up to no.18. Sean Paul has scored 6 chart toppers on my chart, 3 of which as lead artist including last years "Top On It", his latest entry, "When It Comes To You" is new at no.19, and Camila Cabello also scrapes into the top 20 at no.20 with "Liar", her 6th hit and fourth to go top 20.

    Mahalia chart entries are coming thick and fast now as "What You Did" starts at no.22, to give her a fourth entry, three of which are in this weeks top 50, it also gives Ella Mai a second chart entry.

    Jorja Smith made no.17 with "On My Mind" in 2017, her third entry, "Be Honest" is new at no.26, giving Burna Boy a second hit too (his other, coincidentally is with Mahalia and is still in my top 50).

    Aitch scores his second hit in as many weeks as "Buss Down" is new at no.28, just ahead of "Taste (Make It Shake)" which climbs to a new peak of no.30.

    The third hit from Mika's forthcoming album is "San Remo", new at no.33, The Futureheads topped my chart in 2008 with "The Beginning Of The Twist", they return with their first hit in 9 years at no.35, no.36 brings back Phats & Smalls top 5 hit "Turn Around" with a new remix after 20 years, and their first entry in 14 years.

    Don Diablo gets an 8th entry at no.37, House Gospel Choir get a 3rd hit and Adelphi Music Factory a 2nd at no.38 and Miranda Lambert charts for the first time at no.44.

    Finally a bit of movement towards the top, but it's a 10th week at the very top for pnau and "Solid Gold", it's the first song ever to spend 10 weeks on top of my chart, I hadn't realised it broke the record last week with 9, as Shakira's "Waka Waka", Sub Focus "Turn Back Time", Ariana Grande's "God Is A Woman", Harry Styles "Sign Of The Times" and Macklemore's "Downtown" each had 8 week at the top.

    The weeks highest new entry comes in at no.2 and give Ariana Grande a 20th hit, Miley Cyrus a 13th and Lana Del Rey her 6th (and first in 6 years). Ariana had previously topped my chart twice with "God Is A Woman" and "thank u next", Miley topped my chart with "Party In The USA" and "Don't Call Me Angel" now equals the no.2 peak Lana made with the Cedric Gervais remix of "Summertime Sadness".

    Mcfly topped my chart twice with "All About You" in 2005 and "Transylvania" in 2007. Their first hit in 7 years is "Touch The Rain", new at no.5, it's their first top 10 entry since that 2007 chart topper.

    Zara Larsson continues to climb, now at no.7 with "All The Time" and there's room for a third top 10 new entry and it's another pop artist, as Meghan Trainor picks up her 10th hit with "Genetics" at no.9, in the same week as her other current entry "Run Like The River" moves to a new peak of no.16. "Genetics" gives her a 5th top 10 hit in all.

    Doja Cat makes her debut with "Juicy" at no.14, giving featured artist, Tyga his 8th entry too. Mandy Moore made no.2 in 2000 with "Candy" and also in 2002 with "Crush", this week she gets her first entry in 12 years as "When I Wasn't Watching" starts at no.22.

    One Bit made no.4 in 2017 with "My Way", they return with second hit, "Back To You" at no.25 which features previous X Factor cotestant, Laura White, it is her 3rd entry, her biggest being 2008's "Sunshine", making no.17.

    Also this week a 23rd hit for Major Lazer, 9th for J Balvin (8 of which have been features, his only solo entry is hit lowest peaking too) and Mika gets a fourth entry from his forthcoming album.

    Most weeks I'll have a look through new release schedule on here, Spotify new releases, sometimes Radio 1 playlist and for dance anthems sometimes through Spinnin TV Youtube channel.

    Fantastic debut for "Don't Call Me Angel"!
    Also enjoying Meghan's "Genetics", so glad to see her doing well here as well.

    Really impressed what a slowburner Zara Larsson's "All The Time" is. It ended up as my favorite song from her 'second era' (if we can call it like that). A shame she struggles getting hits these days...

    pnau continue their record setting run at the top with "Solid Gold" getting an 11th week at no.1 while Mika returns to no.2 with "Tiny Love" now having 5 weeks behind pnau.

    Riton have the highest new entry with their 5th hit, "Turn Me On", new at no.3. They peaked in 2017 when "Deeper" went to no.2, the new one is a collaboration with Oliver Heldens who makes this an 11th chart entry and 5th top 10, but very first top 5, previously peaking with "Shades Of Grey" which made no.6 in 2015.

    Georgia made no.3 a few weeks back with debut entry "About Work The Dancefloor", she follows it up with a no.4 new entry, "Never Let You Go", Doja Cat brings debut entry, "Juicy" up to no.6, also giving Tyga his third top 10 hit.


    It's been 11 years since Shapeshifters last appeared on my chart, after a strong run of 5 number ones from 2005's "Lola's Theme" to 2007's "New Day", their new single "Try My Love (On For Size)" returns them to the top 10 as it enters at no.7. Gorgon City's 13th entry, "Baggage" gives them their third top 10 hit, just as their second exits the top 10. It also gives Gryffin a third hit, easily outpeaking previous best, "Heading Home" which made no.28 in 2016, while AlunaGeorge make it a 16th entry and fourth top 10. They topped my chart in 2017 with "Last Kiss".


    Rapper, Guru scored 5 no.1s from his 2000 album "Guru's Jazzmatazz Vol 3", now his group, Gang Starr get their biggest hit as lead artist as "Family And Loyalty" enters at no.12 (they featured on Macy Gray's "I've Committed Murder", making no.8 in 2000). It also gives rapper, J Cole his fourth and highest entry so far.

    Mike Posner featured on Cher Lloyd's no.1 "With Ur Love" in 2011. While his own hit, "Cooler Than Me" gave him his only top 10 hit when it made no.8 in 2010, this week, his 9th hit "Slow It Down" enters at no.15.

    Labrinth had back to back no.2 hits with "Let The Sun Shine" and "Earthquake" in 2010/2011, since then things haven't gone quite so well, but "Something's Got To Give" enters at no.18 now to give him his 15th hit in all.

    UK Garage DJ collective, Dreem Teem had four chart hits around the turn of the millennium, peaking with "It Ain't Enough", which made no.4 in 2011, with Artful Dodger. Now Dreem Teem member, DJ Spoony takes on one of Dodgers number ones, "Movin Too Fast", starting at no.25, the new version features Paloma Faith who makes it her 15th hit.


    Also this week, a fourth hit for James Arthur, 6th for Anderson .Paak, 4th for Bibi Bourelly, first for Kasabians S.L.P, 7th for Bebe Rexha, first for D Double E and third for Billie Eilish.

    No change to the entire top 5 this week, lead by pnau with a record breaking 12th week at the top (50% more than the previous 8 week record). With Mika, Shapeshifters and McFly in the top 10, you could be excused for thinking were back in the 00s, and to add to that, the highest new entry comes from LMC who get their first entry in 12 years with "Time To Groove", they peaked with "Take Me To The Clouds Above", a no.2 in 2004, joined by Mike McCabe who made no.3 in 2017 with "I'm Feeling It (In The Air)". The new song has the same sample as Nero's "Must Be The Feeling", which was also a no.3 in 2011.

    John Newman follows up his most recent hit "Feelings" which made no.2, now with his second highest peaking solo entry, "A.N.i.M.A.L", his 12th hit in all, at no.12. Pitbull and Ne-Yo made no.1 together in 2015 with "Time Of Our Lives" and had a no.4 in 2011 with "Give Me Everything", their third collaboration, "Me Quedaré Contigo" starts at no.16.

    The third top 20 entry from Jamie Cullums "Taller" album is "Monster" and enters at no.19. It follows from "Mankind", which made no.8 and "Show Me The Magic" which made no.4.

    Gaining their 15th hit this week, Galantis are new at no.22 with "Holy Water", they peaked in 2016 with chart topper "Love On Me".

    2 of my chart regulars return this week, Christina Aguilera, who had 5 number ones between 1999-2008 is back with "Haunted Heart" at no.32, her first entry since "Telepathy" made no.9 in 2016, and Brandy who had 18 number ones between 1998-2008, "Freedom Rings" is new at no.34 and her first solo entry since "Wildest Dreams" made no.45 back in 2012.

    Well it had to happen eventually, after 12 weeks at the top of my list, pnau is finally relegated to runner up spot with "Solid Gold" as RuthAnne bursts into the top with "Take What I Can Get", it's her second solo entry and her second no.1 following "Liquid" last year. She also makes it 3/3 for top 10 hits as she featured on Swales "Higher (Call My Name)" which made no.10 earlier this year.

    LMC climb into the top 5 while John Newman racks up his 4th top 10 hit and Labrinth his 5th as they climb this week to no.6 and no.9. Meanwhile Jamie Cullum is pushing towards my top 10 with "Animal" and Galantis move up to get an 11th top 20 hit with "Holy Water".

    The second highest new entry this week is a second chart entry for Wstrn, four years after "In2" made no.24, "Night & Day" is in at no.18.

    Basement Jaxx topped my chart four times, with "Romeo", "I Want U", "Plug It In" and "Feelings Gone", they've been absent from my chart since "Rock This Road" made no.36 in 2015, though their last hit here other than a few low chart entries dates back to 2013 when "Back 2 The Wild" made no.9. Their highest position since then comes this week as "Yodel Song" starts at no.24.

    Camila Cabello scores her 7th hit away from Fifth Harmony this week (the group only made my chart 5 times in all), as "Cry For Me" enters at no.26. Former Swedish ESC star Frans may have failed to chart in 2016 with "If I Were Sorry", but this week he gets his second chart entry this year as "Amsterdam" is new at no.35, following the no.23 hit "Do It Like You Mean It".

    Great debut for Camila Cabello's "Cry For Me". I'm probably in the minority, but this is definitely my favorite song of the ones she has released from her upcoming new album.
