To discuss the best daytime show on TV!

They're causing loads of headlines at the moment because of all the cast changes after the summer break.

    CURRENT LOOSE WOMEN:
    Andrea McLean
    Sherrie Hewson
    Lisa Maxwell
    Carol McGiffin
    Denise Welch
    Lynda Bellingham
    Janet Street Porter
    Sarah Millican
    Cilla Black (occasional Loose Woman)
    Kate Thornton (leaving soon)
    Zoe Tyler (leaving soon)
    Coleen Nolan (leaving soon)

And according to the Mirror, Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman are joining!

Carol Vorderman and Sally Lindsay are joining Loose Women in a bid to revitalise the show.

Former Coronation Street star Sally, 37, and ex-Countdown maths expert Carol, 50, were among five stars *shortlisted by ITV executives last week to replace axed panellists Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler.

Bosses had considered Vicar of Dibley comic Dawn French and Royle Family writer Caroline Aherne for the vacant slots.

Actress Caroline Quentin was also approached, but the former Men Behaving Badly star has committed to appear in a West End play this autumn, *coinciding with Loose Women’s return after a summer break.

Carol is expected to replace Kate Thornton as a regular co-anchor, while Sally will fill Zoe Tyler’s position as a panel member.

An insider said: “Carol and Sally are a done deal.

They were always popular choices, and bosses think they will be a perfect fit for the panel. They both bring a unique *personality and sense of humour, which will *hopefully sit well with the remaining regulars, but neither of them are afraid to speak their mind.

“Loose Women has always been about lively debate, and these two are certainly not afraid of that.”

ITV bosses have been involved in discussions over *candidates for several weeks, as they bid to revamp the show and win back viewers.

Executives hope to challenge BBC1 competitor Bargain Hunt, which regularly averages two million viewers in its 12.30pm slot, while Loose Women has slumped to just over one million each day.

Comic Sarah Millican, 36, is in negotiations with studio executives over her future due to other work *commitments.
To be honest, I never knew it was in such need of revitalisation! I love Sally Lindsay though, she is so warm and northern! Carol Vorderman is quite nice aswell. I never really liked Kate or Zoe, so I think they are making the right choice in getting rid of those two. I also hope Sarah Millican doesn't come back, all her jokes are about her sad life and how fat she is, which gets old very quickly. She never seems to comment on anything, either.

Loose Women is my total guilty pleasure. Although a lot of the conversdatiosn are very feminist, I find them quite interesting. However quite a few of the ladies do my nut in. I'm glad Kate's leaving, she irritated me, can't stand Carol either.

My favourites are Lisa and Lynda - neither of whom are too loud but both have good enough personalities to maintain a well-balanced conversation. Carol and Sally will fit in quite well, Dawn French would be a great occassional addition.

I agree, I wouldn't want her on all the time because even though I love her, she is too famous and funny to just be a regular panellist. I would like to see her the way Cilla is now.

I never seem to get the interesting bunch when I've got a day off, but I must admit, I love the show and I'd love to be a loose woman.

I always sit at the table when I watch it, then when I disagree with someone, pause it and say my view like I am on the panel.

I am sad Kate is leaving, I thought she was a good match for Andrea as an anchor, not funny enough to be a pannelist but chaired it really well :(

Lisa Maxwell I don't think is great to be honest.

She always seems to get overshadowed by the others so I can see why people would think that. I just love her from her The Bill days.

I think she is the best new addition of recent times! (this includes Kate, Janet and Sarah) She fits in like she has always been there and is funny and has opinions. I think she has gone down well with viewers going by her getting an autobiography.

I thought it'd be right up your alley!

Yeah I guess Lisa does get overshadowed but I think there's a reason for it. Much prefer Sarah and Janet.

Maybe Cheryl Cole should join up,it would suit her very limited talent!

Can't believe Coleen has gone! It was actually quite emotional but she ruined it when she sang at the end! She's no Jane McDonald!

And on Friday Kate made some kind of comment about Simon Cowell to Katie Price, saying "Oh you could write a whole book about him" but I don't blame her after he sacked her off X Factor! She just isn't very likeable though, I don't like her on Loose Women and she never seems to gel with anyone, and always seems like the one who is trying to make it look like she is in with the group. It was nice that Coleen made a special comment about her though because that made me think that maybe she has made friends and she is just crap on TV.

OK I have COMPLETELY changed my mind about Kate in her last week! After Colleen made that nice comment about her I was actually sad to see her go, and think she got treated disgracefully! On her last episode, she didn't get flowers, a "best bits" or anything! It was literally 10 seconds before the end and she just said "That's all for today and that's all from me! Thanks to the crew and Andrea will be here tomorrow for the last show in the series"! I think that was ITV's fault and not the actual loose women, because she has been making a few thinly veiled comments about having "time on her hands" in the last few weeks.

I can't believe it is 4 weeks until Loose Women is back! And I can't wait to see what Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman are like, and if Beverley Callard comes back! I hope they get a new studio (more like the old one before the hideous blue one) because this deep pink one is like the blue one, it feels too much like a TV set and feels too tall.

The new show with Gino & Queen Mel Sykes seems quite good but it's no Loose Women replacement!

    Edit: 4444th post!
