    SINGLES
9 NE Mallrat - Charlie - I featured her earlier in my chart, turns out I liked "Charlie" yet I have forgotten about it till now
10 NE Dorian Electra - Adam and Steve - I charted it immediately, it has quite an attitude
41 NE Daria Zawialow - Punk Fu! - alright with that
    ALBUMS
6 NE Tessa Violet - Bad Ideas - tried it, had the feeling like every other pop album, nothing that exciting or different, there's hundreds of similar acts in every country now
18 NE Kanye West - Jesus Is King - this joke is better than Swans? I only ever liked maybe two or three Kanye tracks, the rest is overblown/overproduced self-indulgent material worthy of Portugal's national selection for Eurovision.

only now I came to a conclusion that the vocal mannerisms of Cigarettes After Sex's Greg Gonzalez remind me of AFI's Davey Havok in his poppiest tracks.

It will turn the whole thing into Imogen Heap-esque monstrosity.

I take it you mean a whole album would be a monstrosity - there's nothing monstrous about Imogen Heap. As i've said before, Caroline's album overdoes the autotune. What i meant with Swans was: he has ballads on the album where his voice is painfully stretched and you can hear how out of tune he is. When there's industrial noise backing you like in the 80s it doesn't matter. Not all the songs, just on a few it is very noticable. And to say West's album is overblown when most of the tracks are very brief and to the point is absurd. It's no more overblown than any other Christian themed album (three of them are actually charting directly above him!). And it's definitely not overproduced, it's the most stripped down thing he's ever done. And Kids See Ghosts (with Kid Cudi) was a great alternative type release.

Sometimes it's best to just say nothing.

    45 NE C*nts - Ass To Grind
Sometimes it's best to say something.

I've meant Kanye's whole discography is full of overblown music and I only liked two or three songs of his whole existence as a musicians. I have barely listened to this particular album (I have heard one track and it made me laugh).
Kids See Ghosts was generally meh/alright, but I listened to it once and only because of Kid Cudi.
I like when the real singer's voice is deliberately out of tune.

    TONY'S HITS CHART: 16th NOVEMBER 2019

    1 2 Kitten - Me
    (5 weeks; peak #1) 2nd week top

"You don't know what it's like to be me". Unfortunately, the Netflix show I'm With The Band: Nasty Cherry displays Chloe in an impossible situation that sees her used and abused for entertainment. Quite upsetting viewing for a Kitten fan and there's virtually no background context given in the show to enable non-fans to empathise with her position, a position that Charli put her in (we never see how or why this went down). All publicity is not good publicity - a non-fan will see a spoilt brat and nothing else and will not investigate Kitten. (She CREATED Kitten, for a time she was the only member.) All for the glorious result of a few thousand Spotify plays (no major radio play or chart appearances even after the broadcast - not even top 100 iTunes). The Netflix Rock 'n' Roll Swindle.

2 34 Of Monsters and Men - Wild Roses (2 weeks; PEAK)

A sleeper YouTube hit and a full-blooded pop ballad of the kind Florence used to make. Shame the YT formatting ruins the closing moments of the video.

3 20 FKA Twigs - Sad Day (2 weeks; PEAK)

4 NE Megan McKenna - When I'm Crying YOUTUBE (studio recording)

The bravest performance ever given on any UK singing contest.

5 1 Kim Petras - There Will Be Blood (3 weeks; peak #1)
    6 7 Chvrches - Death Stranding (7 weeks; peak #6)
7 3 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Bright Horses (4 weeks; peak #3)
8 NE Wye Oak - Fortune YOUTUBE
    Great dramatic song.

    9 4 Charli XCX - White Mercedes (9 weeks; peak #1)
    10 5 Kim Petras - Icy (5 weeks; peak #3)
11 6 Cigarettes After Sex - Falling In Love (6 weeks; peak #4)
    12 9 Mallrat - Charlie (3 weeks; peak #9)
    13 8 Cigarettes After Sex - Heavenly (12 weeks; peak #2)
14 12 Icarus ft Rae Morris - Dreams Of You (7 weeks; peak #8)
15 NE Moody Beach - Slave YOUTUBE (censored video) / YOUTUBE (uncensored age-restricted video)
Australian Melissah Marie with alt-synth music that explores sexual politics.

    16 11 Mandy Moore - When I Wasn't Watching (9 weeks; peak #4)
    17 10 Dorian Electra - Adam and Steve (3 weeks; peak #10)
18 RE Emile Haynie ft Lykke Li and Romy - Come Find Me YOUTUBE (2 weeks; PEAK)
This 2015 #46 hit unexpectedly peaks after it was used as theme to Sky Crime / HBO doc I Love You, Now Die. A fascinating true story of a teen girl who - apparently - instructed her bf to kill himself (though it's not that simple).

    4 NE Megan McKenna - When I'm Crying - soap opera-ish
15 NE Moody Beach - Slave - the song's nice, the music video's a mess, but I guess that was the concept
24 NE The Last Internationale - Mind Ain't Free - surprisingly I had liked the video ages ago, but still didn't chart it
32 NE Beck - Everlasting Nothing - not a fan of Beck's voice in this particular track

There's one confrontation scene in the show that is so appalling and upsetting i really do think it has caused her damage. It should never have been allowed to happen. I understand her but i don't think the young viewers it's aimed it will, especially non fans. Another scene where she gets questioned for her "commitment" to the group even though she HAS to attend a very important Smashing Pumpkins support gig booked months before is so contrived and unfair towards her you think it must be "constructed reality" (producers instigating arguments). The show credits seven "story editors" and Charli must have known that picking Chloe would create drama for her "documented project". Yes, Chloe made the choice and is happy to promote it but that doesn't make it right.

Which episode is this in? I started watching yesterday from the beginning, but I don't think I will watch the whole thing.

The confrontation scene is episode 4 - the title of the episode is a big clue.
The other one is ep 2 - i think.

Love Sad Day! Megan’s performance was good, refreshing, but I agreed with Nicole that it’s becoming a bit one-note.

    TONY'S HITS CHART: 23rd NOVEMBER 2019

1 2 Of Monsters and Men - Wild Roses
    (3 weeks; PEAK)

Thankfully they (partly) sorted out the YT video option thing at the end so only two blocks appear and you can see Nanna's face.

I'm keeping this at number one until it gets five comments. It definitely suits being a Christmas topper.

2 NE Hatchie - Her Own Heart

    3 1 Kitten - Me (6 weeks; peak #1)
Chloe has confirmed this and other songs on the latest mini album are inspired by the Nasty Cherry show. That's as much comment as you'll get on her frustrations that she felt. NC's mini album will chart next week.

    4 3 FKA Twigs - Sad Day (3 weeks; peak #3)
It's a shame she didn't perform this on Jools Holland.

5 22 Lily Kershaw - Always and Forever (9 weeks; PEAK)

Video at last! This gorgeous song (co-written by THAT Emma Roberts, remember) should be on every major radio playlist. Not Donna Lewis but same level.

6 18 Emile Haynie ft Lykke Li and Romy - Come Find Me (3 weeks; PEAK)

Never would have expected this! I'll have to check but i think this is Lykke's highest position. Here's a fan video using the film Oblivion.

    7 8 Wye Oak - Fortune (2 weeks; PEAK)

8 5 Kim Petras - There Will Be Blood (4 weeks; peak #1)
    9 6 Chvrches - Death Stranding (8 weeks; peak #6)

    14 12 Mallrat - Charlie (4 weeks; peak #9)
15 NE Just Mustard - Seven YOUTUBE
Atmospheric alt-rock - like a subtler Anavae or the defunct Bird.

    16 15 Moody Beach - Slave (2 weeks; peak #15)
17 11 Cigarettes After Sex - Falling In Love (7 weeks; peak #4)
18 NE Hannah Diamond - Love Goes On YOUTUBE
Don't know how i missed the video for this last week. Subscription glitch again? Her album will chart big next week.

    20 24 The Last Internationale - Mind Ain't Free (2 weeks; PEAK)
    21 29 Hannah Diamond - Invisible (4 weeks; peak #19)

    29 19 Allie X - Regulars (3 weeks; peak #19)
30 NE Wrenn - Craigslist Personals YOUTUBE
31 NE Rina Sawayama - STFU! YOUTUBE
Great vid about a horrendous date as pop meets nu-metal for yet another mate of Charli - a Brit-Japanese on 1975's label.

    32 32 Beck - Everlasting Nothing YOUTUBE (2 weeks; peak #32)
Lyric video (with actual people) is out.

    33 20 Bat For Lashes - The Hunger (16 weeks; peak #1)
34 35 Say Lou Lou - The Look Of Love YOUTUBE (2 weeks; PEAK)
    (CrazySexy) Video is out.

    48 50 Marshmello / Yungblud / Blackbear - Tongue Tied (2 weeks; PEAK)
49 NE Little Big Town - Sugar Coat YOUTUBE
This vid also had the curse of 4 blocks ruining the end shot but they've very quickly sorted it out, too.

50 RE Roisin Murphy - Narcissus YOUTUBE (2 weeks; peak #38)
    Vid is out.

16 NE Celine Dion - Courage SPOTIFY
Bjorn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn and John) and Lauv are involved in this decent set but the most interesting thing is that Sia and Greg Kurstin had the balls to make ANOTHER song called Heart Of Glass. Boundaries is her best song since MHWGO.
