    @ Era
Thank you! I know you like "Roar" more than "Applause" but i have to disappoint you... while i still adore GaGa's song, Katy's song is starting to bore me

Thank you! I saw you gave me so many points... sorry that i never commented there! I liked your song as well (sadly i was one of only a few people...)

    @ Haribo
    Hope you like them!

She is? Never checked how tall she is

Glad you like these. Yes, "Red" will fall even more this week. I think it lost some magic since it's already pretty 'old'...
    For singles it's 250 points = Gold and 500 points = Platinum, for albums it's 100 points = Gold and 200 points = Platinum... a #1 single gets 40 points (so a #10 gets 31) while a #1 album gets 20 points (so a #10 gets 11 points)

No success for "E.T."? Don't you like it?
"Last Friday Night" was such a fan favorite... i like the song as well but i prefer most other singles to it though.

Haha yes... "LoveGame" made a much bigger impact on me than "Poker Face". To be honest the video for "LoveGame" even made me a little bit hetero back then Actually i still prefer listening to "LoveGame" than "Poker Face", but "Face" is still an amazing song of course
I think #2 behind a Beyoncé song? Well, "Paparazzi" was her first real huge hit on my charts. Yes, "Bad Romance" was huge back then... i still remember how i adored the video <3 Yes, Bey was number one for several weeks! To be honest i really love her part in "Telephone"! Under the old rules "Telephone" reached #6 on the YEC in 2010 but i changed the rules since then (well, the points a song gets) so that could change a little bit... Why you think the run for "Judas" is disappointing? It did better on my charts than on most charts in the world

    Thank you!

    @ TrinidadNavy
Yay! Need to comment your charts as soon as possible!
    Glad you like it!

    @ MostFierce
Glad you like these! Not sure about Katy reaching the top spot though... :-?

    @ luckyONE
Glad you like these! Well, i hope you won't hate me if "Clown" falls out of the charts this week

    @ Spartan
    Glad you like both

    ...

New charts comes a little bit later... i'm really busy in the office right now and i'll have to go to the dentist later ( :x )
I try to post the charts at the evening or as soon as possible!

I checked out those three songs... and they're okay, not for me. "Bulletproof" was probably my favorite off them.

    Yes, she's 1,83m. :x

You have multiplatinum awards too, right?

When "E.T." video was released, I was asked by a Katy Perry stan to check it out, and I remember disliking it (the song). It grew on me last year. So you think I'm a fan cause I love(d) "Last Friday Night" a lot? Ha! I find the video really great, to be honest. And my avatar's in!

Wow... I love (or like) "LoveGame", but I've never been much into it... Yes, blocked from the top spot by Bey's "Halo". My 2009's #1's would've been something like "I'm Yours" (6 weeks), "Poker Face" (7 weeks), "Just Dance" (3 weeks), "Halo" (21 weeks), "Sweet Dreams" (8 weeks)", "Broken-Hearted Girl" (5 weeks), and "Empire State of Mind" (3 weeks). Is "Halo" certified? Damn, you're a "Bad Romance" video lover too. I don't get the fuss about it, but really not. I even consider "Alejandro" video being superior to it. Yeah, Bey's rapping is a lot of people's favorite part on "Telephone". That's crazy, but that's an amazing collaboration. #6? I expected Top 3 at least. :x Ah, is that good? Get that Top 3 year-end rank! I don't know what I said "Judas" run is disappointing. I would've given this song huge success, I guess that's why.

Have fun at the dentist! (Don't tell me you're afraid of him/her? )

Okay, i understand that. Glad you like "Bulletproof" the most though

Oh that's even taller than me
    How tall are you?

    Yes, it's like Gold -> Platinum -> 3x Gold -> 2x Platinum -> 5x Gold -> 4x Platinum etc.
Singles need 250 points for Gold, 500 for Platinum, 750 for 3x Gold, 1000 for 2x Platinum etc.
Albums need 100 points for Gold, 200 for Platinum, 300 for 3x Gold, 400 for 2x Platinum etc.

Well, i personally don't like the "E.T." video but the song is one of Katy's best - if not the best! Chartwise it's her most successful song on my charts at least ;)
haha Yes, i like the video for "Last Friday Night"... who's that on your avatar?

Not unexpected that "Halo" would have been your number one for ages ;) You love(d) "I'm Yours" that much?
No, it's not eligible for a certifications. If i didn't forget something the song got 208 points... so 42 away from Gold. Maybe her new album can push it back to the charts so it can get a cert?
Whaaaat? I dislike (like most other people/fans too) the "Alejandro" video Don't know, i didn't watch the video for "Bad Romance" for a long time, i just was in love with it when it came out... Well, yes it's good. Songs that were around #11-#20 only got one point each under the old rules (while #1 got 20, back then i made a Top20) but now it's a lot more (#1 = 40 and #11 = 30 and #20 = 21)....

Haha thanks... no i'm not that afraid of the dentist, i'm more afraid from the costs it was just a check though but now i need to remove my wisdom teeths... and one of them comes out horizontally so it will be very complicated... but it's hurting me since saturday :x Oh well... the bad thing is that only the horizontally teeth will cost around 500 francs, that's like 400 € :-? Life's so expensive somethings

I'm short. I don't know exactly (don't wanna figure it out cause it'd get me depressed), but well over 1,70m, though.

My avatar is here. Check his wiki.

Yes, I loved a lot back to 2008/09. You need to know the song would've begun its run in 2008. Total weeks on top should've been probably around 15. I overplayed that song, though. Barely listen to it now. :-? 42 points away from Gold. Argh. :x

Oh, yeah. Courage. I'm quite lucky cause my teeth never hurt me. Wow, 400€. Do you guys say "francs" in Swiss german zone too? Yes, life can be expensive sometimes. :-?

    Okay Well, well over 1,70m isn't small IMO... i'm 1,82 btw ;)

Oh oke... he looks cute in the clip! But never heard of him before (i'm not a Glee fan so that's probably why...)

15 weeks? Wow, i already was tired of the song after the second listen I think his "I Won't Give Up" or the song with Colbie Caillat are much better. Do you like them?

Well, we say 'Franke' or written 'Franken' / 'Schweizer Franken' so just the german word for 'francs' ;)

week 34/2013 – 22 august 2013 GaGa all over again

    • Singles Top40

After the debut last week, Lady GaGa remains on top with her current new single “Applause”. It’s just the fourth time a single that debuted on top also remains there in its second week after Selena Gomez’ “Come & Get It”, Lana Del Rey’s “Dark Paradise” and Tarja’s “Victim Of Ritual”. It was pretty obvious for her to get another week on top as there’s currently no big competition, but that could change from now on as there will be many new releases over the next few weeks.

After her first number one hit with “The Way”, the follow-up single by Ariana Grande called “Baby I” disappointed with its #7-peak so far. This week the single gets a huge boost and rises 11-2. Rounding up the Top3 is Maria Mena whose “I Always Liked That” falls again one place to number three.

Usually there are a lot of new entries on the charts but this week we have a lot of re-entries instead. The highest one comes back at number four and is the french rap song “Papaoutai” by belgian singer Stromae. After ten weeks “Slow Down” by Selena Gomez leaves the Top5 for the first time as it’s falling 4-7. Even more falling is Katy’s new single “Roar” which is down to number eight this week in its second week on the charts. “Dear Darlin’” had many ups and downs. While the single by Olly Murs just got a new peak two weeks ago, it fell hard last week just to rise and getting a new peak this week again. Actually it’s the biggest climber this week as it’s up 25-9 and becomes his third Top10 single after “Heart Skips A Beat” (#4) and “Troublemaker” (#3).

    What happened outside the Top10?
Avicii rises for the first time since his second week with “Wake Me Up” as it’s back to #12. As already mentioned there are a lot (old!) re-entries. “Telephone” by Lady GaGa and Beyoncé is back at #27, “My Heart Is Refusing Me” by Loreen is back at #32 while the two songs “Bad Romance” and “LoveGame” both by Lady GaGa as well are back at #36 and #37. In its 8th week on the charts, “Play Hard” by David Guetta reaches the Top30 for the first time… the first song to do so so late.

The biggest climber this week is as already mentioned “Dear Darlin’” by Olly Murs (25-9) while the biggest looser is “The Other Side” by Jason DeRulo, which falls a lot after it just debuted last week (18-39).

    • Album Top20

Selena gets a fifth consecutive week on top for her album “Stars Dance”. While this is already a lot, it’s still a long way to the seven weeks of “A Year Without Rain” and the ten weeks of “When The Sun Goes Down”. Anyway, it will be hard to get more weeks on top as Ellie Goulding releases “Halcyon Days” tomorrow and Tarja “Colours In The Dark” a week later, both albums are set to debut very high. But for now Selena can celebrate another week on top…

Loreen remains stable after the huge rise last week with “Heal” while “Utopia” by Kerli rounds up the Top3 as it’s rising 5-3. It’s already charting for 23 weeks, 21 of them were inside the Top5.

GaGa is everywhere on my charts at the moment. After the re-entry for “The Fame” last week, the debut album by the Lady rises 15-11. Now “The Fame Monster” also re-enters the charts, and it’s doing this even higher at #6. A little bit lower Olly Murs’ album “Right Place Right Time” rises 20-10 due to the new found success of “Dear Darlin’”.

    • Airplay Top10

GaGa owns the Airplay Top10 for another week with an immense amount of plays for “Applause”. The song got 277 plays during the last week – a new record by far! Actually there would be a lot more plays if lastfm wouldn’t make such a mess again but i won’t count the others this time.

So Ciara had no chance and “Overdose” remains at number two, even with a decline in plays. Rounding up the Top3 is “Baby I” by Ariana Grande as a new entry with 22 plays.

Two very old GaGa singles are making their debut on the charts as well: “Telephone” comes in at number four while “LoveGame” enters the Airplay Top10 at number nine. Both also make a re-entry on the Singles Top40. While the three songs “Slow Down”, “Stars Dance” and “Come & Get It” by Selena Gomez remain stable, “Like A Champion” falls 7-10 and “Forget Forever” and “Birhtday” both leaving the charts.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 23 to 432 (+5.6%) compared to last week.

Haha, no I don't hate you for letting Clown falling out this week! It also left my Charts already a few weeks ago. 14 weeks of charting is very good, I think!

What a great comeback for Stromae's new song! :O
Great to see Counting Stars having great longevity. 11 weeks in the Top 10 already. :O That's amazing.
Sad to see Roar already falling five positions, but maybe it will be stable in the next few weeks.
Amazing jump for Olly Murs' latest single! I think this is my favorite single by him off the current "Right Place Right Time" era.
I'm also glad that Ellie Goulding gets another week in the Top 10. "Burn" is definitely one of my favorite Songs by her so far!

There are three songs by Imagine Dragons charting in your Charts, which I absolutely love! I recently bought their debut Album and it has lots of good tunes. I hope On Top Of The World will perform better than It's Time Overall.

Huge drop for Jason Derulo! :O While I am not really into his Music, I think "The Other Side" (besides "Breathing") is his best song, yet.

So many wonderful artists on each of your three charts. However, my heart goes to one and only Loreen. <3

    ^ You assume wrong.

Yes, I knew how tall you are!

It's okay. It breaks my heart a bit, though.

Really? I truly overplayed it, though. I remember playing it non-stop for hours. Such a smash tune for me. :-? I don't really like "I Won't Give Up", and his collaboration with Colbie Caillat is okay... "I'm Yours" was THE smash for me.

Me liking the number one. What a drop for "Roar". I heard "Papaoutai" for the first time the other day, and it's okay... You gave me wrong faith. I mean, come one, "Red" really didn't break my thirteen weeks at number two! Wow, but "I Need Your Love" smashed hard here. I like it. YAAAAAAAAAAS! Bey's charting! So you allow old songs to chart?

The Fame Monster is such a great album. It has no fillers even though "Speechless" is only okay for me.

Glad to know you played Bey nineteen times this week.

Damn, eleven-times platinum is huge! The album must be all-time most successful, right?

    @ luckyONE
Haha Well yeah, it did pretty well, was a Top10 hit and went Gold, that's a good thing on my charts

Yes, "Papaoutai" got a great boost due to his performance on the ultimate chart show!
Not sure about "Roar". The more i listen to it the more i think it's too boring and basic... expected a lot more from her new lead single :-? But "California Gurls" is one of her least successful singles on my charts so the next single could do better again...
Glad you like Olly's song! I'm not sure... currently i would say "Troublemaker" is a little bit better, but "Dear Darlin'" is very good too!
Also glad you like "Burn", it's an amazing song!

Not sure if "On Top Of The World" will do better than "It's Time", but it will rise a bit next week at least. But i think it has good chances to peak higher than "It's Time" as it's a lot catchier IMO. Hope it'll do very well on the charts!

Well, i liked "The Other Side" at first but after i listened to it a week ago i suddenly though it's pretty bad that's why it fell so much...

    @ elvenOCEAN
Thanks, glad you like so many and especially Loreen! Are you from Sweden?

    @ Haribo
Oh... so i already told you how tall i am?

Why does it break your heart? :-?

Okay, well i have to say i like "I'm Yours" not a bit better than when it was released...

Glad you like "Applause"! Do you listen to radio a lot or never? I think "Papaoutai" has much airplay in France as it's doing fantastic on the charts there... i'm sure you will hear it a few times more ;) Soooorrryyy for "Red" :( I know! I don't know why buuut it became a little bit boring for me It was a lot better when the album got released!... I hope you won't kill me this week as it looks like it will fall a few places more....
Yes, it's one of the most successful hits this year. I'm surprised no one ever said a word about the impressive chartrun for "I Need Your Love" - you're the first one Glad you like it!
Well, yes i allow it but it's very very hard to chart again for old songs. This time i was listening to songs like "Telephone" a lot (that's why it's also entering the airplay charts) so i thought it's more than rightful to let it chart this week. I'm in love with the song again and i also love Bey's part very much!

Agree! TFM is a masterpiece... so many pop gems and yeah "Speechless" is also the weakest one for me too!

No no, it's only eleven-times Gold! that's like five and a half times Platinum ;) But it's still ... well very very successfull and probably also the most successful

    @ wiczynp1
No problem and as Haribo said i'm a male ;)

To be honest i have no idea why i like these teenage singers like Selena, Demi and Miley so much. I'm surprised as well sometimes... i nearly listen only to female singers

No. I saw you post it in "How Tall Are You?" thread.

    (I guess) I exaggerated a bit.

By the radio, I guess you mean moments they play music only. In this case, no, I don't. I used to in 2009. I heard "Papaoutai" on TV. Boring??? God. What's gotten into you? Well, I'm not mad. It happens sometimes, but I really thought it was going to be a hit. Anyway, I'm disappointed by the song's performance, overall. After the poor music video we got, the non-promotion... A big disaster. I won't kill you. Ending June, I used to listen to a night show (you know, those shows where people call, and tell their life/problems) on the radio, and that's how I came across "I Need Your Love".

Ah, "Speechless" is also your least favorite off the album? Some people are going to hate us; that tune receives so much love. :-?

Oops! What's the all-time most successful album?

    @ Haribo
Ah ok i totally forgot i posted there

Yes... Well right now i listen to radio very rarely. I just prefer to listen to my own music so i understand when you don't listen to radio ;) Haha... i really really really hope you won't be shocked if you see the position for "Red" this week :-? But i agree, i thought it'll be a bigger hit. That's probably also a reason why it's not that successful on my charts... with a better video, more airplay and more performances it would chart a lot better. Oh but that's a bad way how you cam across "I Need Your Love"
But as long as you like it i'm fine with it ;)

Yes, it is. I like when she's doing piano ballads like this but i just like the other tracks better. But it's nearly as good as "Teeth" or "So Happy I Could Die"...

Haha i just said it's probably the most successful

    @ toni_pest
Glad you like all GaGa songs here! And "Papaoutai" too

    @ Falsetto
    Yes she's smashing!
Yeah i really like "Overdose", i always play it when i'm at the workout and so i'm really glad it was chosen as a single now

    @ Era
Haha... i only counted lastfm plays this time, the other way it would have a lot more plays! ;) But as i said it's a new record, previous record was only 146 plays in a single week
So i can't wait to see the next lead single by Rihanna smashing on your charts ;) Will be exciting to see the plays for it ;)

week 35/2013 – 29 august 2013 New entries by Miley and Avril

    • Singles Top40

While it was pretty obvious to see Lady GaGa on top for a third consecutive week with “Applause” until sunday, a totally unexpected new single just makes it to the top now. Miley Cyrus released out of nowhere the second single called “Wrecking Ball” from her upcoming album “Bangerz” and makes the impressive jump to #1. With this she reaches an amazing milestone: Ten entries on the Singles Charts and all of them reached #1! For more infos about all of these successful singles just scroll down a little bit and take a look at her discography.

So after two weeks “Applause” falls down one spot to number two. Rounding up the Top3 is Ellie Goulding’s “Burn”, which rises 10-3. It’s the first time it’s rising in placements and it’s due to the release of “Halcyon Days”.

“I Need Your Love” by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding has one of the most impressive chartruns this year and with 23 weeks on the charts it never left the Top15 so far. This week it’s rising 13-4 just to come back to the Top5 for a 8th week. Finally, at the bottom of the Top10 there’s another new entry. After “Here’s To Never Growing Up” made its debut at #10, the new single by Avril Lavigne called “Rock N Roll” is making its debut this week on the same position.

Just outside the Top10 there’s a little surprise as Katy’s “Roar” already falls down to #11 in its third week. But compared to her last lead single “California Gurls” it’s still doing better…
Imagine Dragon’s “On Top Of The World” climbs to #18 and becomes their third consecutive Top20 entry, “Telephone” by Lady GaGa and Beyoncé also climbs into the Top20 to #19.

Like last week there are a few re-entries, but all of them are by Ellie Goulding due to her new release “Halcyon Days”. The three singles “Figure 8” (#27), “Explosions” (#30) and “Lights” (#36) are back, all of them reached Gold status this year. Finally, “Play Hard” by David Guetta is reaching a new peak again at #28 as the biggest sleeper hit this year while with “Heart Attack” one of the biggest hits of the year is leaving the charts for the first time.

Two songs are loosing 13 places this week and with this they’re the biggest loser: Stromae’s “Papaoutai” falls 4-17 and TinkaBelle’s “Where You Belong” falls 19-32. Meanwhile, “I Need Your Love” by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding is the biggest gainer this week.

    • Album Top20

After a few weeks without big new releases there was finally an exciting one with “Halcyon Days” by Ellie Goulding, which makes its debut on top – pretty unexpected. As usual re-releases like this are charting seperately (like “The Fame”/”The Fame Monster”, “Teenage Dream”/”The Complete Confection” or “Born To Die”/”Paradise”) so the normal version of “Halcyon” also rises a bit to #5.

So after a five-weeks reign “Stars Dance” by Selena Gomez falls 1-3. Rounding up the Top3 is Loreen’s “Heal” which remains at number two for a third consecutive week.

Most of the other albums seems to be pretty stable this week but with two big new releases next week (Tarja and Ariana Grande) this should change next week. GaGa’s “The Fame Monster” is rising 6-4 and despite being nearly four years old it’s back in the Top5 while “The Fame” is back in the Top10 at #10. “Utopia” by Kerli falls down 3-7 and is as low as never before so far. Her debut album “Love Is Dead” falls out of the charts this week. It spent 41 weeks in the Top20 since 2010 as the Album Charts started then, the album originally was released five years ago. ESC darling Emmelie De Forest spent incredible twelve weeks in the Top10 with her debut album “Only Teardrops” but leaves them for the first time this week.

    • Airplay Top10

Lady GaGa reigns for a third week with “Applause” and gets what she doesn’t get on the Singles Top40. But with 118 plays the plays went down by 159 plays and so it was a tight battle as Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” got 104 plays. Enough to debut directly behind GaGa. It would have debuted on top without problems if it had a full week of Airplay, but it only had three days.

Ciara’s “Overdose” falls down one spot despite an increase in plays. It was just announced as the next worldwide single so it could debut on the Singles Charts soon too.

While Selena filled the whole Airplay Top10 a few weeks ago with her songs from the album “Stars Dance”, this week it’s Ellie Goulding and the tracks from “Halcyon Days”. Well, they don’t fill the whole charts, but there are six entries from the new album. The highest one is “Burn” as a re-entry at #4 which topped the Airplay Top10 a few weeks ago.

Finally, after the surprising debut last week the “Telephone” by GaGa and Beyoncé is still ringing at #6.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 9 to 441 (+2.1%) compared to last week.

Ah, you don't wanna share the info.

Just checked out "Wrecking Ball" (your link to it makes it faster to do ). It's not bad. I expected something so awful, to be honest. Wow at "I Need Your Love" jump! "Roar" is not being very successful. :-? My God, "Red" is free-falling; even the 2010 smash is higher which makes up cause I love that song. "Best Song Ever" already leaving! Ha! My run for it was short too!

The Fame Monster should reach the top spot! Would be an amazing record! 9× Gold! Coming for Lana's wing!

    Ellie Goulding obsession this week.

I'm not very into Miley Cyrus at all. That being said, I've always loved "Party in the U.S.A." even though it wouldn't have reached number-one position.

I'm not that into Avril Lavigne either. Good to see "Girlfriend" certified this week. "What the Hell" is great too. OMG at "Here's to Never Growing Up" run.
