I loved the shirt as well. It's the best on that song/video

Oh gosh! You haven't listened to "He About To Lose Me" yet? - You better do this now! Kylie has mentioned via Twitter that's her favourite song on "Femme Fatale"! - I wanna read your review next week!

I cannot wait to see Britney rising! I totally love the music video. It's flawless. Her dance moves are gettin' better and I'm very pleased by the style (when it comes to outfits & locations). The only thing which bothers me is her black trousers. It should be straighter! - Do you like her video?

    True

No i haven't But i listened to FF just yesterday just because of you ;) And i have to say that "I Wanna Go" and "Criminal" are still my faves, but the other tracks "Inside Out", "Drop Dead" etc. are as good as HIAM and TTWE ;) I still enjoy most of the album but i got the feeling she could have made it better.
Okay, so i'm gonna listen to it too!

Agree. The video is better than expected. I was prepared to get disappointed again but i wasn't disappointed at all. The dancing is flawless!

Not sure if you'd like my number one But if you check it out please tell me what you think about it
Agree, "Gorilla" is probably the best single this era so far and i'm glad it was picked as a single.
Actually "The Fox" has such a nice verse and is damn catchy, i'm surprised by myself that i like it that much
Glad you like "La La La"
I checked it out and it was love at first listen. Stellar vocals and bombastic production. It's definitely going to enter the Top 5 on my chart today. It may even debut at #1!
You can search the entire universe and not find a single being more worthy of love than you.

thanks so much for all comments

week 41/2013 – 10 october 2013 Hey Brother... What About Us?

    • Singles Top40

Within Temptation reigns for a second week with their collaboration called “Paradise (What About Us?)” together with Tarja, despite huge competition. Right behind them there’s already the first out of four new entries this week. After “Wake Me Up” (9-6, Peak #2) and “You Make Me” (24-21, Peak #19), “Hey Brother” is the third single out of Avicii’s debut album “True” and comes in at number two. Rounding up the Top3 is another contender for the top spot this week: Miley Cyrus with “Wrecking Ball”. The chances to see the ballad back on top for a fifth week were pretty big this week due to the album release, but finally the songs falls 2-3 and is as low as never before in its seventh week on the charts.

After the decrease last week Britney’s “Work Bitch” rises 7-5 due to the video release. “Right There” by Ariana Grande and Big Sean rises as well, up to #9. It’s just the second week in the Top10 but it spent four week at #11/12. At the bottom of the Top10 there’s already the second new entry. After the huge success that was “Counting Stars”, “Something I Need” is the fourth single by OneRepublic out of their third album “Native”. With the entry at #10 it’s already their third Top10 hit this era.

Maria Mena falls out of the Top10 with her two singles “I Always Liked That” and “F*** You”. If the second one won’t rise again it will end up as her first charting single with a peak outside the Top5. Also falling out of the Top10 is “Victim Of Ritual” by Tarja. It goes down by 10-15 and this marks now her first week outside the Top10.

After the flop of “Dark Horse”, Katy’s “Walking On Air” seems to be more successful as it’s rising 32-27. It could rise even more during the next weeks due to the album release of “Prism”. Cher is a music legend but the 67-year old singer enters the charts for the first time with her new single “Woman’s World” at #32 as the third new entry. The fourth and last one comes in at #37; it’s “Talk Dirty” by Jason DeRulo, the follow-up single to the #18-peaking “The Other Side”.

Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” is the biggest climber as it’s rising 36-28 while “DNA” by Empire Of The Sun is the biggest loser for a second week as it’s falling 28-38.

    • Album Top20

What a clear debut on top! Miley Cyrus released her third full solo album called “Bangerz” and makes a debut on top this week. It’s already her second chart topping album, her last album called “Can’t Be Tamed” topped the album charts for eight consecutive weeks over three years ago. It will be hard for “Bangerz” to reach this too as it could fall down soon due to the upcoming album release of Katy Perry’s “Prism”.

Two seems to be the favorite number by Avicii. His single “Wake Me Up” peaked at #2, his album debuted at #2, his new single “Hey Brother” debuts at #2 as well and now his album rises again to #2. With Miley on top the competition seems to be too big right now so this may be his peak. Rounding up the Top3 is “Weapon In Mind” by Maria Mena, which falls down after two weeks on top.

Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” falls out of the Top3 for the first time as it’s down 2-4. Due to “Hunter & Prey” the album “Only Teardrops” by Emmelie De Forest seems to have a second live. This week it rises 9-6. Kerli’s “Utopia” is rising as well, up to #10. It was outside the Top10 for two weeks and celebrates its 30th week on the charts this week.

Two newcomers fall a lot this week. The first one is Lorde. Her debut album “Pure Heroine” just debuted last week and falls 7-11 now. The other newcomer is the swedish duo Icona Pop. After two weeks in the Top10 their debut album “This Is...” falls 6-12.

A bit lower, there are two re-entries due to their single successes. Bruno Mars’ “Unorthodox Jukebox” comes back at #15 while OneRepublic’s “Native” is back at #17.

    • Airplay Top10

This week it’s all about Miley Cyrus.

Apart from the fact that LastFM doubled a lot of plays (but i take the real plays here, don’t worry), it wasn’t an exciting week as most songs on the charts are from one singer: Miley! While the teen queen enters the charts with seven songs, none of them is strong enough to dethrone Within Temptation.

“Paradise (What About Us?)” remains on top for a second week with 77 plays. Despite nearly 30 plays less than last week it’s still a number to be proud of, especially after such a great debut last week. While their “Let Us Burn” falls 5-10, the songs “Dog Days” and “Silver Moonlight” fall out of the charts.

The highest entry for Miley this week is “Wrecking Ball” as a re-entry at number two. The song got 76 plays last week, so only one less than “Paradise”. Album track “FU” arrives at #4, “Drive” comes in at #5, “Do My Thang” at #6, “4x4” at #7, “SMS” at #8 and “Someone Else” at #9. The first single “We Can’t Stop” just misses to make a re-entry as it got 22 plays.

The last track on the Airplay Top10 is “Hey Brother” by Avicii. The highest new entry on the Singles Top40 is also making a big debut on the airplay charts at #3 with 65 plays.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 109 to 500 (+27.9%) compared to last week.

Trying you send a message to your brother through UKMIX?

Good No. 1. "Gorilla" already falling. Songs I like/love never make it to No. 1 here. :(

I've gotta check out Miley's album.

    Glad to see these certified:

    Bruno Mars – Grenade [single]
Bruno Mars – Just The Way You Are [single]
Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball [single]

So "Locked Out of Heaven" is you favorite Bruno Mars song?

So "Paradise" was able to stay on top of your chart! That's amazing! It's still one of my favourie songs right now, but Miley's kinda destroyin' everyone on my chart right now. So there wasn't any room left for the angelic collaboration anymore.

Great updates for "Work Bitch", "Royals" + "We Can't Stop" and I'm glad that you let "Woman's World" + "Dirty Talk" chart, when I let them chart them as well ;)

Oh, and flawless debut for OneRepublic! What do you think of the new single?

Think I'll pass quoting my faves from your charts since it will be a looong message.

Liking the song on top and seeing Mylie continuing smashing the top 3 as well (including the new Gold cert).
Nice to see Cher *finally* debuting in your chart as well, shame it didn't come as successful in the BB100 :(
And Talk Dirty is such a smash, hoping to see it climbing up your chart!

Can't say I'm a fan of Bangerz, though there are a few songs I really love there (like my current #1 in the chart - FU), but that #1 is probably just one of many more she'll achieve

"Woman's World" is about a year late here! Good to see the tiny climb for "Walking on Air" though. I hope it starts soaring here soon. Good to see "Talk Dirty" too. It took a few plays but I really like it now. Lovely that Miley's still slaying here though I am a teensy bit disappointed that Bruno's chances for scoring a #1 here with "Gorilla" are looking slim. :(

Yeah, much thanks for introducing me to it! There's a certain edge that rock and its sub-genres have that make me gravitate to them so I guess that's why I was so impressed with "Paradise (What About Us?)". Pop/rock is probably my favourite genre fusion.

After seeing the chart-runs for Bruno Mars' Singles in your Charts, I have to say we have similiar Peaks to almost every of his Singles! Great longevity Overall for "Unorthodox Jukebox", I suppose you enjoy it more than his debut Album (judging from the Chart run).

Great debut for Avicii's current single. And "Wrecking Ball" is proving a great longevity so far.
Good to see "Burn" having another week in the Top 20 and "I Need Your Love" Holding on pretty well, too.

Awesome and expected #1 debut for "BangerZ". Poor Avicii for being blocked for a second week from the top spot.
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painfully than the risk it took to bloom

I really have a brother and haven't see him that much in the last three years, so the message could even make sense But i didn't recognize it when i posted it and it wasn't mean that way.... just a hint for the Top2

Glad you like the #1... and don't worry, "Gorilla" should be stable at least.

    Good you like these certs!

Oh... not sure, but i think it's one of his best, Top3 for sure. It's also not really fair to compare it with "Grenade" and "Just The Way You Are", back then i only made a Top20 now a Top40 so getting more points now is easier than then...

Good to know you still like "Paradise". Actually if my charts were also for non-singles-songs, Miley would probably own the whole Top10 too But so it was still possible for "Paradise" to remain on top but it could fall down this week.

Glad you like these entries and yeah, kinda interesting we share the same entries last week

I think it's a great choice for the next single. It sounds a little bit like "Counting Stars" which was a pretty huge hit for them so it was pretty obvious that they choose "Something I Need" as the single. What do you think?

Nice to see Cher *finally* debuting in your chart as well, shame it didn't come as successful in the BB100 :(
And Talk Dirty is such a smash, hoping to see it climbing up your chart!

Can't say I'm a fan of Bangerz, though there are a few songs I really love there (like my current #1 in the chart - FU), but that #1 is probably just one of many more she'll achieve
Thanks, so glad you like so many tracks

Yeah, actually i thought "Woman's World" could chart on the Hot100 but oh well... it's kinda catchy!
Not sure about "Talk Dirty", it could even fall out of the charts this week

Glad you like some tracks of "Bangerz"

Lovely that Miley's still slaying here though I am a teensy bit disappointed that Bruno's chances for scoring a #1 here with "Gorilla" are looking slim. :(

Yeah, much thanks for introducing me to it! There's a certain edge that rock and its sub-genres have that make me gravitate to them so I guess that's why I was so impressed with "Paradise (What About Us?)". Pop/rock is probably my favourite genre fusion.

Actually, "Walking On Air" is likely to get a Top20 placement this week. It's the first track of the era i really really like and i hope it will be a future single.
Don't worry about Bruno. I'm going to his concert in a week so with that he will have a big chance of getting a number one - if the concert will be great!

Well i'm REALLY glad you like it. There aren't many people on ukmix who likes music like this but surprisingly there are a few people who like "Paradise" now...

Really? That's funny! Have you posted the chartrun for Bruno's single too? I need to check your topic asap!
Well, "Unorthodox Jukebox" spent a lot weeks between #11-#20. When "Doo-Wops" charted there wasn't a Top20 but only a Top10 so if there would have been a Top20 too its chartrun would looks a bit better. But yes, i think i like UJ a bit more than DW... and you?

    Glad you like these

thanks so much for all comments

    week 42/2013 – 17 october 2013 A new old number one

    • Singles Top40

There aren’t that many new entries like in the previous weeks so the whole Top10 remains pretty stable. But there’s still a new number one... and it’s someone who already was on top: Miley Cyrus! “Wrecking Ball” rises 3-1 in its 8th week on the charts and tops the Singles Top40 for a fifth non-consecutive week. With that it’s the first song to spend more than four weeks on top this year and her third longest-number one single ever out of her ten #1-singles. Only “The Climb” and “Can’t Be Tamed” spent more weeks on top, but with nine weeks each it’s still a long way for “Wrecking Ball” to get near to these. Meanwhile, her other single “We Can’t Stop” falls 28-38 this week and is about to leave the charts.

While Avicii’s “Hey Brother” remains at number two, “Paradise” by Within Temptation and Tarja falls down to number three after two weeks on top.

OneRepublic seems to be one of the biggest surprises this year. After the more-or-less-flop of “Feel Again”, “If I Lose Myself” and especially “Counting Stars” became big hits. The fourth single “Something I Need” is now taking off too as it’s rising 10-6 after the debut last week and it has the potential to be their fifth Top5 single.

The first out of four new entries this weeks comes in at #12. After a long time, “What Now” was chosen to be the next single of Rihanna’s current album “Unapologetic”. With the #12-entry it could be her first non-Top10 entry since “Rude Boy” (#19), which is her only non-Top10-entry so far. Avicii reaches a new peak with “You Make Me” as it rises 21-14, just behind him there’s another huge climber with Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize”. In its 36th week it goes up by moving 24-15. There are two other new songs in the Top20: Katy Perry’s promo single “Walking On Air” rises 27-19 and becomes her 13th Top20-hit while Lorde celebrates her first Top20 entry with “Royals” (22-20).

There were a lot of big falls this week. Tarja’s “Victim Of Ritual” leaves the Top20 for the first time (15-21), same goes for “F*** You” by Maria Mena (13-25). Maria’s other single “I Always Liked That” is falling fast too (11-22) but it was already at the same position the week before her album debuted.

ESC-winner song “Only Teardrops” comes back at #24 while a bit lower at #29 there’s the new entry called “Bonfire Heart” by UK-singer James Blunt. The song just debuted at number one in Germany and Switzerland. Céline Dion debuts at #33 with “Loved Me Back To Life” which is actually just her second entry after “Taking Chances” charted for one week at #5 in 2007. After debuting with “Woman’s World” last week (32-37), Cher gets another entry at the last position of the charts with “I Hope You Find It” – a cover of Miley Cyrus.

Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize” is this week’s biggest climber while Maria Mena’s “F*** You” is the biggest loser.

    • Album Top20

It’s actually a very rare thing to have no new- and no re-entries on the album charts and that’s what happened this week. No new releases and no comeback, so it was pretty easy for Miley to get a second week at number one with “Bangerz”. Avicii remains at number two for a third week with “True”.

There’s always someone who benefits when there’s not much action. This week it’s Emmelie De Forest. Due to no big competition her debut album “Only Teardrops” rises back to the Top3 as it’s up 6-3. It’s the sixth week in the Top3 and the first after it left them in its sixth week on the charts.

Kerli’s “Utopia” is rising as well and goes up 10-7. With the new certification it’s her highest certified album now as “Love Is Dead” is certified with 2x Platinum. Lindsey Stirling is back in the Top10 with her self-named debut album at #10. The rest of the Top10 is stable this week.

Outside the Top10 wasn’t much action too. The two re-entries from last week are rising this week; Bruno Mars’ “Unorthdox Jukebox” is up 15-11 while OneRepublic’s “Native” rises 17-13. The first one could rise even more next week due to his concert next wednesday.

    • Airplay Top10

Last week was all about Miley Cyrus but this week it’s even more about Miley!

While Miley had seven songs on the Airplay Top10 last week, she has two more this week as the album tracks “#GetItRight” (#9) and “Dear Darlin’” (#10) are new, while “Paradise (What About Us?)” and “Let Us Burn” by Within Temptation fall out of the charts. The first one was still on top last week but only got ten plays this week.

Back on top is “Wrecking Ball”... so Miley reigns all three charts now. It’s just the fourth time this happens. The first time was in the week 05/2013 when Of Monsters And Men’s “King And Lionheart” debuted at #1 on the Singles Charts and the Airplay Top10 while their album “My Head Is An Animal” rose 3-1. The second time was in the week 12/2013 when Kerli’s “Utopia” debuted at number one on the album charts while the single “The Lucky Ones” re-entered the Singles Top40 at #1 and the album track “Can’t Control The Kids” topped the Airplay Top10 for a sixth non-consecutive week. The third time this happened was in the week 31/2013 when Selena Gomez’ “Slow Down” topped the Singles Top40 as it rose 3-1 while the album remained on top for a second week and album track “Stars Dance” rose 3-1 on the airplay charts. So it’s actually just the second time when the song on the singles and on the airplay charts is the same.

I nearly played only Miley-songs this week so it’s not a surprise to see many plays for other tracks too. Album closer “Someone Else” rises 9-2, “4x4” is up 7-3, “Do My Thang” is up 6-4, fan-favorite “FU” slips 4-5, future single and title track “SMS (Bangerz)” increases 8-6 while “Drive” falls 5-8. Kinda surprising that the first single “We Can’t Stop” didn’t enter the charts, same for another fan-favorite “Adore You” which debuts in the Top50 of the US Hot100 this week.

The only non-Miley song this week is Avicii’s “Hey Brother”. After the pretty good debut last week the song falls 3-7 but it still got an amazing amount of plays with 55.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 48 to 548 (+9.6%) compared to last week.

    1 (2) Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball *96 plays*
    Chart Run: 2-3-*1*-2-3-Out-RE 2-1- / 7w

    2 (9) Miley Cyrus – Someone Else *62 plays*
    Chart Run: 9-*2*- / 2w

    7 (3) Avicii – Hey Brother *55 plays*
    Chart Run: *3*-7- / 2w

    8 (5) Miley Cyrus – Drive *55 plays*
    Chart Run: *5*-8- / 2w

    9 (NEW) Miley Cyrus – #GetItRight *28 plays*
    Chart Run: *9*- / 1w

10 (NEW) Miley Cyrus feat. Future – My Darlin’ *26 plays*
    Chart Run: *10*- / 1w

    Out of Top10
Out (1) Within Temptation feat. Tarja – Paradise (What About Us?) *10 plays* (2w)
Out (10) Within Temptation – Let Us Burn (Demo Version) *0 plays* (2w)

I realize we've got some points in common.

I haven't quoted for weeks so here's what I like (and tolerate):

    1 (3) Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball *G*
3 (1) Within Temptation feat. Tarja – Paradise (What About Us?)
    4 (5) Britney Spears – Work Bitch
    5 (4) Bruno Mars – Gorilla
    9 (7) Ylvis – The Fox
    10 (6) Avicii – Wake Me Up! *P*
12 (NEW) Rihanna – What Now
    13 (14) Lady GaGa – Applause *G*
16 (17) Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love *3xG*
    18 (19) OneRepublic – Counting Stars *P*
19 (27) Katy Perry – Walking On Air
    20 (22) Lorde – Royals
    23 (16) Birdy – Wings
    31 (29) Selena Gomez – Slow Down *P*
    32 (33) Loreen – Euphoria *3xP*
33 (NEW) Céline Dion – Loved Me Back To Life
    34 (25) Jessie J feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal – Wild
    38 (28) Miley Cyrus – We Can’t Stop *G*
    39 (40) Jessie J – It’s My Party

"It's My Party" is flopping. :( I'm sad for Jessie. Her album's really good. Seems like the girl was destined to be furtive. :(

Good to see "Gorilla" stable. Nice debut for "What Now". Good to see "Royals" in the Top 20 as promised. Top 15 (or 10, ha!) next week, hopefully.

    18 (18) Jessie J – Alive

I cannot really judge most albums cause I have not heard in full – well, as you know, I like Jessie's album.

    1 (2) Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball *96 plays*

I have got to check out Miley's album.

    Good to see "Euphoria" certified.

I'm not a big fan of One Republic. I do like "Apologize" (what a run! ), though.

So many people hate the trousers, I love them! It's actually my fave look in the vid!

It just bugs me that everybody that I show the video is surprised in a positive way - because if WB would perform better then more people would see that she is in suuuch a good shape :(

Great to see Hey Brother enter so high! It's by FAR my fave of the three singles right now

OneRepublic's song is nice I just dislike the vid :-?

Hope Walking on Air grows more

Glad that Drive is so high! Wow, in general you have a huuuuuge number of plays

Sorry I missed one week, I was very busy

You love Someone Else, me too, great!

Apologize is by far my fave OR track.
    It's:
    1. Apologize
    2. All The Right Moves
    3. Counting Stars
    4. If I Lose Myself
    5. Secrets

And I thank Ryan Tedder for Leona & Bleeding Love.

I'm deliriously happy that you told me that! Now I don't have to feel ashamed of having let so many songs by Miley chart higher than "Paradise" last week

I didn't see "Something I Need" comin', but I agree on the similarities to CS. However, I expected somethin' like "Can't Stop" or "Preacher" to be released as a single.

+ Amazing update for Miley. I love to see her on top. "Wrecking Ball" has the potential to become my favourite single by Miley. Her voice sounds so stunning on this one. Also, it's great to see Bruno, Britney & Within Temptation being part of your top 5.

+ "Bonfire Heart" is flawless. I have never been a huge fan of James Blunt, but this song is just catchy and since "Something I Need" got a great update, it's understandable that you like BH, since it was written by Tedder as well.

Yay for Samantha Jade is still a part of your chart. Don't like the drop out for Come & Get It, though.

    ------------------------------------------------------
Love to see the chart-runs for OneRepublic.

What a huge success for "Apologize" on your chart! Luv it!

What a waste that none single by them hasn't reached your #1 spot yet, although three peaked at #2.

Well, "Unorthodox Jukebox" spent a lot weeks between #11-#20. When "Doo-Wops" charted there wasn't a Top20 but only a Top10 so if there would have been a Top20 too its chartrun would looks a bit better. But yes, i think i like UJ a bit more than DW... and you?

    Glad you like these
I haven't posted the chartrun for his Singles, yet but I will post the chartrun of his "Unorthodox Jukebox" era once there's no material from that era charting anymore.
I like DW more. I do like quite a few tracks of "Unorthodox Jukebox", though, too.

Great debut for Rihanna's "What Now" this week!
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painfully than the risk it took to bloom

Well, i don't know. I just don't feel Jessie J's album this time. I was a fan of her when she released "Who You Are", but somehow "Alive" isn't touching me. Maybe the third single can change that.

You will be pleased about the position for Lorde this week ;)

    Glad you like these!

Yeah, Ryan wrote many good tracks.

Actually, i thought it was pretty difficult to pick a single. When i bought the album, "Counting Stars" was the only song i was sure it'll be a single. The rest is good as well but none of them screams 'hit' to me. But "Preacher" would be a good chocie as well!

Which is your current favorite single by Miley? But true, "Wrecking Ball" still amazes me and is on the way to become my favorite single of hers too!
You don't like "Hey Brother"? ;)

Oh, i didn't know Ryan wrote BH as well Now that's why i like it

    Haha

Yes, #2 seems to be their peak. Same for the album which has spent three weeks at #2 so far Maybe they can get their first number one soon...

Oh okay, so i need to check your charts then
Well, i think overall i prefer UJ to DW, but DW has two of his best songs ("Grenade" and "Just The Way Your Are"). But both are pretty good.
Do you go to his concert?

Glad you like her new entry

thanks so much for all comments

week 43/2013 – 24 october 2013 Katy Perry Vs. Lady GaGa Vs. ...

    • Singles Top40

Finally a really busy week in the Top10 this time. Half of the tracks – five – are new. But, despite such a huge competition, Miley Cyrus’ remains on top with her “Wrecking Ball” for a sixth non-consecutive week. With only nine more weeks this year the chances are big for “Wrecking Ball” to remain the longest-number one single this year.

Out of these five new songs in the Top10 there are three new entries. The highest one comes in at number two. Lady GaGa released “Do What U Want” as the first promo single for the upcoming album “Artpop” and debuts very high – but not as high as “Applause” did eleven weeks ago (#1). Anyway, it’s still a great debut and while “Do What U Want” was originally released as a promo-single, it was announced to be the second single now instead of the track “Venus” which will be released next week. Rounding up the Top3 is Katy Perry. Due to the album release the promo-single “Walking On Air” bullets 19-3 in its fourth week and becomes her tenth Top3-hit.

The album-release of Katy’s “Prism” brings two other songs into the Top10. The first promo-single “Dark Horse” charted for only one week at #34 so far but comes back now at #4. Together with the second official single called “Unconditionally”, which debuts at #6 this week, Katy has three songs in the Top10.

Avicii’s “Hey Brother” falls 2-5, Within Temptation and Tarja’s “Paradise” falls 3-7, Bruno Mars’ “Gorilla” goes down 5-9 while Britney’s “Work Bitch” decreases 4-10. Between these songs there’s the third new entry in the Top10. “Let Me Go” was chosen to be the third official single by Avril Lavigne for her upcoming self-titled album and it debuts at #8. With this debut it’s already outpeaking the previous two singles “Here’s To Never Growing Up” (#10) and “Rock N Roll” (#9).

Outside the Top10 wasn’t that much action compared to the Top10. Most tracks are loosing some places due to the high new entries. Lorde’s “Royals” is still increasing though, reaching a new peak by moving 20-14.

Nearly at the bottom of the charts, Katy’s lead-single “Roar” re-enters the charts at #36. A bit lower at #39 there’s another re-entry with Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven”.

Katy Perry’s “Walking On Air” is the biggest climber this week while Rihanna’s “What Now” is the biggest loser as it falls 12-25 after the debut last week.

    • Album Top20

The Album Top20 wasn’t as exciting as the Singles Top40 this week, but there still happened a few things and at least more than last week. Pretty unexcepted, Katy Perry debuts on top with her new album called “Prism”. It’s the follow-up to her huge success “Teenage Dream”, which re-enters the charts at #16 – for the 67th week!

But it wasn’t that sure to see Katy debuting on top. Miley’s chances to remain there were big as well, but now “Bangerz” falls down to number two after two weeks on top. Avicii’s “True” falls 2-3 and rounds up the Top3.

Kerli is back in the Top5 as “Utopia” rises 7-5. Out of the 32 charting weeks, 22 were in the Top5. Bruno Mars is also rising with his current album “Unorthodox Jukebox” as it’s up 11-7. It’s likely to see it even higher next week due to his concert here in Switzerland (His concert was yesterday evening, but the charts was already finish so the whole concert effect will impact the charts next week).

Birdy’s “Fire Within” leaves the Top10 after only four weeks as it’s falling 8-12. That’s pretty disappointing compared to the success of her debut album “Birdy”.

    • Airplay Top10

Finally, Miley slows down a bit after two weeks. The reason for this are two other huge pop ladys: Katy Perry and Lady GaGa.

Katy Perry tops the Airplay Top10 for the first time with her 80s disco-song “Walking On Air”. The promo-single for her new album “Prism” got 68 plays during the last week, ten more than its closest competition, which is Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball”. “Ball” falls down 1-2 in its 8th week on the charts. Rounding up the Top3 is the other pop lady. “Do What U Want” is the highest new entry on the Singles Top40 and also debuts high on the airplay charts at #3.

Katy’s “Prism” is the reason for three other debuts by the US-singer. Promo-Single “Dark Horse” enters the charts at number four, album-track “Legendary Lover” comes in at number five while the second official single “Unconditionally” makes a good debut at number eight.

Together with “Wrecking Ball” there are still five songs by Miley on the charts. “4x4” is the highest album-track, but it falls 3-6. “Do My Thang” goes down by 4-7, “FU” falls 4-9 and “SMS” decreases 6-10. Most other album tracks still got a lot of plays, for example “Someone Else” (#2 last week) and “Drive” (#8 last week) both got 37 plays. In some other weeks through the year this would have been enough plays for a Top3, but this weeks Top10 was just too strong...

Plays of the Top10 went down by 79 to 469 (-14.4%) compared to last week.
