From Kerli I added Tea Party and Army of Love

I will always give Beyoncé a chance - also for the rest of the album, but I'm really not thrilled about it at the moment.

I also have been planning to buy the album for a while but have yet to do so. No, I haven't seen the movie but I'm not a fan of the Lord of the Rings stuff in general... We'll see whether it'll grow on me with time, it's already shaping up to be a hit without any notable buzz (except from the movie of course).
Je n'ai qu'une philosophie: Être acceptée comme je suis. Malgré tout ce qu'on me dit, je reste le poing levé.

    Say no to streaming!

Oh glad you like these two, especially "Army Of Love", one of my favorite songs of hers!

Haha it seems like you're planning to buy lots of album, do you? Well, i feel the same but i'm buying lots of albums and i planned to buy at least one album every week in 2014 so let's see if i can do it Anyway, on a side note i'm glad to know that you're also buying physical albums like me. I guess i would never only download an album...

Okay, if you're not a fan of the Lord of the Rings stuff then i could get why you're not that into "I See Fire". Personally i think it fits the movie perfectly so if you would like the movie then the chances would be big to like the song as well. And i think that buzz through the movie alone is big enough to make this a big hit, because the movie is a big hit as well and everyone who watches it will hear the song in the end.

thanks so much for all comments

    week 02/2014 – 9 january 2013 Breathless by night

    • Singles Top40

Miley’s new single “Adore You” wasn’t strong enough to get a second week on top of the Singles Top40, so we have already another number one single in the second week of the year. Kerli gets her sixth consecutive number one song with the tyDi-collabo “Stardust” as it’s rising 3-1 this week. It’s also tyDi’s second number one entry as his last entry was another Kerli-collabo called “Glow In The Dark”.

Ed Sheeran remains at number two with the ballad “I See Fire”. Rounding up the Top3 is the only new entry of the week. After lots of them last week, this week is pretty quiet. The new entry is the song “Atemlos durch die Nacht” by german Schlager/pop sensation Helene Fischer. It’s her first entry ever and just became her first Top10 hit on the german single charts. Helene is currently the most successful german act, selling loads of her albums. Her current album is called “Farbenspiel”.

Miley’s “Adore You” falls 1-4 in its second week. Just behind it there’s her previous single “Wrecking Ball”, which rises 6-5 in its 20th week. It never left the Top10 so far. Within Temptation & Howard Jones’ “Dangerous” falls 4-6 in its third week. Jessie J finally gets another Top10 notation with “Thunder”. The third single of her current second album rises 12-7 and becomes her highest entry since “Domino” in 2011. While Anette Olzon’s “Falling” falls 5-8 and Imagine Dragons’ “Demons” decreases 8-10, the last song of the Top10 is a pretty big surprise. After the debut last week, Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” rises 36-9 – and the song is over 40 years old!

Beyoncé could get a Top10 entry soon as “XO” rises 13-11 in its second week. Another Top20-hit goes to finnish band Sunrise Avenue as “Lifersaver” rises 31-15 this week. It previously peaked at #28. Ashley Tisdale’s current release “You’re Always Here” falls 10-16 and leaves the Top10 after only three weeks. Her previous shortest Top10 single was “He Said She Said” with eight weeks.

A few releases from last year are showing some impressive longevity. OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” is back in the Top20 as it’s up 21-17 in its 31st week. Charting for pretty impressive 27 weeks is Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” which is down 16-18 this week. It never left the Top20 so far. A third huge song from last year is Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”. The country-dance song falls 22-24 in its 29th week. There are two other long-runners with Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize” (30-26 in its 48th week) and Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding’s “I Need Your Love” (38-33 in its 42nd week). Plus there’s even a song from 2012; Bruno Mars is still charting with his biggest hit so far called “Locked Out Of Heaven” (25-25 in its 38th week).

There are two re-entries this week as well. Kerli’s “Army Of Love” re-enters the charts at #34 while Selena Gomez’ “Come & Get It” is back at #36.

The biggest climber this week is Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” while Ariana Grande’s “Snow In California” is the biggest loser (15-28).

    • Album Top20

While Miley Cyrus is losing her number one on the single charts this week, she’s getting it back on the album charts as her third full-length studio album “Bangerz” climbs 2-1 in its 14th week on the charts. It previously topped the charts in its first two weeks on the charts, so its total weeks on top are now three. So still a pretty long way to the eight weeks which “Can’t Be Tamed” spent on top in 2010.

Some old releases are climbing back this week. One of them is Kerli’s “Utopia” which rises 4-2 in its 43rd week – soon a year old! Rounding up the Top3 is the Soundtrack for the second Hobbit movie, which topped the charts last week.

The first and only new entry is new at #4. “Unholy Ground” is already the fourth album by finnish band Sunrise Avenue, but their first which makes it to the album charts. Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon Days” is up 16-5 and celebrates its 20th week on the charts. Just behind her is another big climber with Kerli’s “Love Is Dead” (up 15-6).

Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” remains pretty stable, but slips one place (6-7). After reaching a new peak last week, Beyoncé’s self-titled album falls 3-8. Ed Sheeran gets his first Top10-album as “+” rises 11-9 and Imagine Dragon’s “Night Visions” closes the Top10 (19-10).

Three album fall out of the Top10 for the first time this week: Malena Ernman’s “I decembertid” (5-11), Britney Spears’ “Britney Jean” (8-12) and Nightwish’s “Showtime, Storytime” (9-15). Meanwhile, between these albums, there’s a surprising re-entry. After a huge debut album, the second album by Jessie J called “Alive” was pretty much a flop. Due to the new-found success of “Thunder” the album also climbs back at #14. Two places below is another re-entry with Selena Gomez’ “Stars Dance”.

    • Airplay Top10

tyDi and Kerli are also topping the Airplay Top10 this week as their single “Stardust” rises 2-1. The song got 106 plays over the last week – 5 more than last week’s chart topper Ed Sheeran. His “I See Fire” falls down to #4 this week.

Helene Fischers’ high entry on the single charts “Atemlos durch die Nacht” is also the highest entry on the airplay charts at #2. Rounding up the Top3 is Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene” as a new entry.

Miley Cyrus is making a little comeback on the Airplay Top10. While “Wrecking Ball” remains strong (up 7-5 this week), four album tracks re-enter the charts. “4x4” is back at #6, “Drive” at #8, “FU” at #9 and “Do My Thang” is back at #10. Meanwhile, her current single just falls out of the charts.

The last track on the charts is Jessie J’s current hit “Thunder”. While the song just reached the Top10 on the single charts, the song debuts on the airplay charts at #7 this week.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 6 to 403 (+1.5%) compared to last week.

You mean #1? So Kerli's "Stardust"? Or do you mean Ed's (but i haven't put a link for it)?
    Anyway, glad you like it!

Haha yes... and wait for this weeks chart, you should like it even more. I should post it later today.

Glad you like it, it's also one of my faves (but "Forever Yours" is probably a little bit better).

week 03/2014 – 16 january 2013 Can’t Remember To Forget these Young Girls

    • Singles Top40

It was a very tight fight this week, but in the end there can be only one chart topper. This week it’s a new entry. After over three years, Shakira released the lead single of her upcoming 8th studio album called “Can’t Remember To Forget You”. While Shakira alone is already a big name, the song features another huge singer: Rihanna! And while the song was likely to debut at #2, it just made it to the top as it grew on me over the last day. So it becomes Shakira’s fourth number one single and Rihanna’s seventh. More about both singers discographies below.

Helene Fischer rises 3-2 with “Atemlos durch die Nacht”. It was pretty sure to see her topping the charts this week with the german pop song but it just missed the opportunity. Rounding up the Top3 is last weeks chart topper “Stardust” by tyDi and Kerli (1-3).

Ed Sheeran slips 2-4 with “I See Fire” in its third week on the charts. Charting for the same amount of weeks is Miley Cyrus’ “Adore You” which falls 4-5. There’s already a second new entry at #6 this week. After four pretty big singles, “Young Girls” is the next single of “Unorthodox Jukebox” by Bruno Mars and enters the charts at #6. So his second album surpasses his first with the amount of Top10 hits (five against four).

Miley’s power-pop ballad “Wrecking Ball” is down 5-7 while Jessie J’s “Thunder” slips 7-8; but it’s still doing more than fine compared to her previous singles. While “Dangerous” by Within Temptation falls 6-9, “Demons” by Imagine Dragons rounds up the Top10 (10-10).

While “Atemlos durch die Nacht” is the first single that charted by Helene, it’s already the second released song of her current album. The first single called “Fehlerfrei” makes now a debut too, coming in at #13 this week. Another new entry is at #22. After “Thrift Shop”, “Can’t Hold Us”, “Wing$” and “Same Love”, “White Walls” is another single by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis taken from their debut album “The Heist”. A fifth and last new entry is at #36 with Pharrell William’s “Happy”.

After four weeks, Anette Olzon’s “Falling” falls out of the Top10 for the first time (8-11). While Ellie Goulding got hit after hit last year, her current single “How Long Will I Love You” wasn’t huge so far, but peaked at a good #3 so far. While it fell pretty fast afterwards, it finally climbs back to the Top20 as it’s rising 23-18. Her previous single “Burn” leaves the Top20 for the very first time after incredible 27 weeks (18-21). Also leaving the Top20 for the first time is Lady GaGa’s “Do What U Want” (19-24). It spent 12 weeks in the Top20.

Avicii celebrates his 30th week on the charts with his hit single “Wake Me Up” at #25. There’s also a re-entry with OneRepublic’s “Something I Need”. The song is back at #29.

The already mentioned “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding is the biggest climber while Ciara’s “Overdose” is the biggest loser (20-33).

Helene Fischer is really the unlucky one this week. While her song “Atemlos durch die Nacht” just missed to make it to the top of the Singles Top40, it’s the same on the album charts. Her sixth studio album called “Farbenspiel” debuts at #2 as her first album entry ever. While this debut is pretty impressive, especially for a german pop/Schlager album, she was set to debut on top until two days ago. But after all it’s Miley’s “Bangerz” which tops the charts again for a fourth non-consecutive week.

Rounding up the Top3 is Kerli’s “Utopia” (2-3). The estonian singer wants to release her new album later this year.

The soundtrack for the Hobbit 2 slips 3-4. For the first time ever, Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” rises a bit as it’s up by 7-5. Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon Days” is down 5-6. After the huge increase last week, Imagine Dragon’s “Night Visions” rises even higher this week by moving 10-7. An even bigger increase has Bruno Mars’ “Unorthodox Jukebox” which rises 17-8 in its 45th week. Kerlis’ “Love Is Dead” is down 6-9 while Sunrise Avenue’s “Unholy Ground” falls 4-10 after the debut last week.

After three weeks, Beyoncé’s self-titled album already falls out of the Top10 (8-15). Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” celebrates its 20th week on the charts, but falls down 13-16 and reaches a new all-time-low again. At the end of the Top20 there’s a re-entry with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “The Heist”.

    • Airplay Top10

”Stardust” by tyDi and Kerli remains on top of the Airplay Top10 for a second consecutive week. Behind the collaboration, there’s german singer Helene Fischer who also remains at number two with her biggest hit so far called “Atemlos durch die Nacht”. Rounding up the Top3 is the only new entry of the week. After a pretty long time, Shakira debuts on the Singles Top40 with her lead-single of the upcoming new album. The song is called “Can’t Remember To Forget You” and also debuts on the Airplay Top10: at #3!

Miley Cyrus also remains strong this week. Her never-dying “Wrecking Ball” rises 5-4 in its 17th week on the charts. Just one place below there’s the current single “Adore You”, which re-enters the charts this week after it left them last week.

Album track “FU” rises 9-6, “Drive” is up 8-7, “4x4” slips 6-8 and “Do My Thang” is up 10-9.

The last song on the charts is “I See Fire”. The ballad by UK singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran falls 4-10 in its third week on the charts.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 87 to 316 (-21.6%) compared to last week.

To be honest, I kinda dislike your current #1. Although I am not a huge fan of Shakira's, she has delivered some tunes I can listen to. However, I consider this collaboration to be the dullest thing I've heard in 2014 so far. Damn, it's so freakin' boring... I even couldn't listen to the whole song.

However, your #2 is flawless. "Atemlos durch die Nacht", especially its video/radio Mix, made me fall in love with this song. It's so incredibly catchy, Helene sounds perfectly fine on this track and I consider this track to be more pop than being a schlager song. Germany needs more tracks like this one. I'm tired that most of German-speaking songs are Hip-Hop, Rap or these wannabe Xavier Naidoo-genre

"I See Fire", "Adore You", Wrecking Ball", "Demanons" and "Dangerous" are great as well. So all in all you have a great Top10 after all.

"Fehlerfrei" is nice as well. It's a way more schlager but like Kai already mentioned on UKmix, its arrangement is really good. So it's quite amazing what Miss Fischer has become. She needs to represent Germany next year!

Quite late debut for "White Walls", but I am glad that it has finally arrived your charts as well!

+ Great re-entry for "Something I Need"! It already has a nice chart-run!

Hehe @ "Farbenspiel" being your current #2 on your album chart

    Good chart!
Shakira's first song to debut here at 1#. That's great.
It was amazing to see the charted discography of her and Rihanna. Good Job.

    Impressive debut for Shakira!
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painfully than the risk it took to bloom
