    Hi Tansike

Time for me to check out what's happening in your chart right now.

    4 (NEW) Sia – Alive
    Chart Run: *4*- / 1w

Have to highlight this song, Sia has had such an amazing 2015 - this being her seventh song of the year to make my top 20. Whilst i still don't think it matches up to Chandelier its still a brilliant song and i love it loads.

5 (6) Ellie Goulding – On My Mind
    Chart Run: 6-*5*- / 2w

When i first heard this, i have to admit i was a little disappointed. I suppose it was always going to be tough to follow up such a mighty pop song as Love me like you do. I have started to enjoy the song more over the last fortnight but this week it takes a small drop down my chart. It might recover if On my mind grows on me more.

7 (NEW) Sam Smith – Writing’s On The Wall
    Chart Run: *7*- / 1w

This is another song that left me a bit underwhelmed when i first heard it. I do love the dramatic moments in the song, but that's more down to the lush orchestral strings throughout the song. Sam's vocals are so distinctive but to the point i could never listen to more than maybe 2 songs of his at a time. If i was doing a chart back in 2012 i'm sure Adele Skyfall would've been a #1 for me.

15 (NEW) Charlie Puth feat. Meghan Trainor – Marvin Gaye
    Chart Run: *15*- / 1w

Wow, this finally enters. To think this was doing well in my chart back in June. It is a great pop song though, really catchy and love the music video.

39 (NEW) Zara Larsson – Lush Life
    Chart Run: *39*- / 1w

I saw this in someones chart and ended up having a listen as it was #1 in Sweden. The swedes have always been really good at writing and producing pop music. Just got to look at how successful ABBA were in the 70s. Zara sounds a bit like Rihanna but i've really started to like Lush life more over the last few weeks. It finally makes my top 10 today and the way its going might be top 5 soon.

I'm still struggling a bit with the Sia single, her voice is definitely her most previous gift, but it's just a bit too much for me. Maybe I'll like it later I really love her for "Chandelier", "Diamonds" and I enjoyed "1000 Forms Of Fear", so in general I'm curious for her new record.

Nice to see the Robin Schulz album entry! I really enjoy "Show Me Love", "Love Me Loud" and "Moonlit Sky" with Moby!

Wow, this really sounds fantastic for her! I'm not sure how i would rank it compared to the singles/songs of her last album, but it's definitely one of her best releases so far IMO.

I agree with you when it comes to the first thought of the song, however i think "Love Me Like You Do" is her weakest song in her discography But yeah, "On My Mind" also grew on me and now i think it's a good-enough lead single and i'm excited for the whole album now.

Good to hear your thoughts about the new bond theme. I think this is pretty good and i might end up liking this more than i liked "Skyfall", but Sam will have a big second week drop...

Yes, i'm really late with this! I wanted to wait until he releases the pre-orders for his debut album to download that one and get "Marvin Gaye" automatically, but the pre-order was never released here so far so i finally decided to go with the EP instead. This is a huge grower IMO, as i didn't like it at all on the first listen.

This is such a great fun pop song! "Uncover" was a huge hit here in Switzerland, so i hope this will be one as well. This will make a huge climb this week

I really like it when she's doing this with her voice Did you also hear her earlier songs? The previous album "We Are Born" has some amazing songs too

I haven't got a favorite of the album yet (apart from "Sugar" obviously) and i'm not too keen on the album, so i'm not sure how it will do in the upcoming weeks

thanks so much for all comments

    week 41/2015 – 8 october 2015 a Rhythm To Watch Boys To

    • Singles Top40

After a two-week-reign on top, Blackmore’s Night are down 1-3 with “Will O’ The Wisp”, making space for two new entries in the Top2. Charts empress Lana Del Rey grabs her 12th number one hit with “Music To Watch Boys To”, tying Miley Cyrus again who scored 12 number one hits overall as well, but only 11 as a lead artist, which makes Lana technically the artist with most number one singles as a lead artist. Selena Gomez fails to get her sixth consecutive top hit and tenth overall, as her promo single “Me & The Rhythm” debuts at #2. It’s already her 14th charts appearance since her debut with “Falling Down” six years ago, and all of her singles peaked inside the Top5.

It was a busy week, as there are seven new entries in total, and five of them made the Top20, four of them even the Top10. Apart from Lana and Selena, “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson & MNEK and “Better Love” by Foxes made the Top10 this week. “Never Forget You” starts at #4, being the third and highest appearance for swedish singer Zara Larsson, and the debut entry for UK singer MNEK. Fellow UK musician Foxes also scores her highest peaking single in her career so far, as “Better Love” easily outpeaks its predecessor “Body Talk” (#21), but also her previous highest peaking single “Glorious” (#15; 2014) by entering the charts at #7. The third arrival in the upper half belongs to dance duo Disclosure and their new single “Magnets”, which features Lorde and debuts at #15.

Two more new entries to take a look at. It’s been several years since her last and only entry “Feedback” (#2; 2008), but Janet Jackson is finally back on the charts! The single “BURNITUP!” featuring rapper icon Missy Elliott debuts at #28. The last debut belongs to Anastacia. After a very successful 2014 with three Top20 hits (“Stupid Little Things” with a #12 peak and a Gold certification, the #5-peaking “Staring At The Sun” and the top hit “Lifeline”), she’s back with a single called “Take This Chance” from her upcoming best of compilation. The single marks a rather disappointing return to the charts for her though, as it only debuts at #37.

Jasmine Thompson is down 2-5 with her current single “Do It Now”. It probably won’t be as successful as her previous single “Adore”, which is back up 17-16 in its 17th week. Lady GaGa leaves the Top3 after two weeks with “Til It Happens To You”, which is already her most successful single since her last “ARTPOP”-release “G.U.Y.” from early 2014, as all singles from “Cheek To Cheek”, which she released together with jazz legend Tony Bennett, weren’t that successful. Sia’s “Alive” drops 4-8 in its second week, followed by “All Our Yesterdays”, which becomes another Top10 notation for Blackmore’s Night by rising 11-9. Selena Gomez closes the Top10 with “Same Old Love” (6-10).

After two weeks, Ellie Goulding already leaves the Top10 with “On My Mind” (5-11). Even worse is the drop for fellow UK musician Sam Smith, whose tumbling down 7-19 with “Writing’s On The Wall”. Also leaving the Top10 are Loreen with “I’m In It With You” (10-12), Lena with “Wild And Free” (8-13) and Lana Del Rey, who has a surprising big drop as well with “High By The Beach” (9-17). There are obviously several songs that leave the upper half of the charts this week as well, but one of them is doing it for the first time after eleven weeks: “Powerful” by Major Lazer featuring Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley (16-23). While Major Lazer’s charts debut “Lean On” already belongs to the most successful singles of the year, “Powerful” just entered the Top20 on the year-to-date charts as well. The last thing worth a mention is about Zara Larsson’s second entry on the charts. While she just scored her first Top10 hit ever, “Lush Life” increases 39-18 in its second week and is even likely go reach the Top10 as well next week.

Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” is the biggest climber, while Demi Lovato’s “Confident” drops 25-39 as the biggest loser this week.

    • Album Top20

The Top2 remains the same for a third week in a row now, with Blackmore’s Night being at number one with “All Our Yesterdays” while Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” has to stay at number two. This makes “All Our Yesterdays” to one of only five albums which spent at least three weeks on top of the charts this year, and one of four which spent exactly three weeks at #1. Jasmine Thompson’s “Adore EP” re-peaks by moving up 4-3, followed by The Weeknd whose back up 6-4 with “Beauty Behind The Madness”. The success for Blackmore’s Night goes on, as their second album “Under A Violet Moon”, which was originally released in 1999, makes its debut at #5 this week. The title track already made it to the Top3 on the airplay charts last week.

Troye Sivan’s “WILD EP” falls 3-6 in its fifth week, while canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen is down 5-7 with “E-Mo-Tion”. A second new entry makes the charts this week, but it’s a disappointing one. After a very successful era with his debut album “True”, swedish DJ and producer Avicii finally released the follow-up called “Stories”. But while he scored two massive hits with his debut, the singles of “Stories” underperformed so far and so it’s not a surprise to see the album debuting at a low #8. Lena’s “Cystal Sky” falls 7-9, being as low as never before, and 77 Bombay Street close the Top10 with their “Seven Mountains” (9-10).

Robin Schulz already leaves the Top10 with his sophomore album “Sugar”, going down 8-11. Tarja also leaves that territory of the charts with her classical christmas album “Ave Maria - En Plein Air” (10-12). While The Weeknd’s already mentioned album gets certified with Gold as his first record to do so, Inna’s “Body And The Sun” also gets a Gold certification, but already as her third consecutive release to do so.

    • Airplay Top10

After having the same artist at number one on all three charts for two weeks now, there are different ones on every charts this week, as it’s Selena Gomez who takes the airplay crown with “Me & The Rhythm”, which got played 62 times. Zara Larsson & MNEK are close with “Never Forget You” (59 plays), while Blackmore’s Night’s “Will O’ The Wisp” also slips to number three on the airplay charts.

Blackmore’s Night lose some steam this week, as three of their entries leave the charts. While “Where Are We Going From Here” reaches a new peak (5-4), the other entries “Under A Violet Moon” (3-5), “The Other Side” (2-6), “Moonlight Shadow” (4-7) and “All Our Yesterdays” (6-10) are all falling some positions. Foxes and Lana Del Rey get a placement instead, as their current singles “Better Love” (#8) and “Music To Watch Boys To” (#9) get an entry this week.

Disclosure’s “Magnets” which features Lorde got played ten times, being the next most-played song not by Blackmore’s Night this week. Next week we’ll probably see the same leader, but maybe with another song and with several entries more, as Selena releases her new studio album “Revival” tomorrow.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 1 to 413 (+0.2%) compared to last week.

Brilliant news for Lana! 12 #1's is just insane even more so considering the number of singles Lana has released! 100% deserved obviously

Shame about Selena being blocked but if it had to be someone I'm glad it was Lana

Nice to see Magnets debut, hope it climbs your chart! Have you seen the video yet? I think its great

Although I like Lana, I love "Me & My Rhythm" more and I really hope that Selena will still have the power to get that third #1 this era. What an amazing strike this would be!

I am not here for that new Zara song. Although its title is "Never Forget You", I seriously think it's a very forgettable tune. #disappointed

So, Loreen's new music video didn't have an impact on your chart - I can totally understand why. - Love to see Disclusure/Lorde debut, though!

The huge drop for Sam Smith's new single isn't great at all. The bond theme is so criminally underrated on this forum. At least, it's charting on your amazing chart!

Is Lana really won't reach number one on album chart? But well, It's enough to see she's topping the single chart! Even, I don't like the song that much...
The Selena song is great too, I would prefered it over Music To Watch Boys To. I haven't hear the album but will soon! I hope I'll like it!
Btw, you should hear Carrie Underwood's new countdown single, "Heartbeat", it's really good but I still like SB better tbh.

And "Sounds Like Heaven" has an amazing chart run!! I love that song!
I haven't hear Marina Kaye's album tho, and it's hard to listen cause she's not in iTunes/Apple Music. Well, I usually listen to her music on Spotify but I'm not using Spotify anymore in my phone. So, I'll listen to it in my laptop spotify soon

I hope to see Heartbeat on here too at some point.

Cool to see Miley's DOO IT! I love that. I guess people either love or hate it. Other favourites of mine are Till It Happens To You and Good For You. I really don't see the appeal of that Ellie song - On My Mind. Its bloody awful. lol. Her new one, however, is awesome!

Music To Watch Boys To is a brilliant song IMO and also one of my favorites on Honeymoon. totally deserves the #1 spot.
Nice to see Disclosure on your Charts, I love Magnets.

I'm not too fond of Avicii's current Album, it's not bad but somehow I miss something...

I like your #1, it had a quick stay in my charts on #11 - I like the song but Lana's melodramatic voice isn't the right thing for me right now, though I'm sure I'll listen to it again towards winter

I started listening to Selena's album today and I really liked the first tracks! I'll finish it soon and it will definitely make an appearance on my charts next week.

Trying the new Zara Larsson & MNEK song out right now! Didn't know they were collaborating!

Also listening again to Foxes now! I heard the song quite a few times but I really want to reconsider it now. I still love her and Zedd for "Clarity".

Wow, I didn't know the new Anastacia single was already released

I'm sure you've already heard Sam's "Stay With Me", which was one of the biggest hits of 2014.
Yeah, I've known about Sia since 2004 but never really liked anything I heard (most of the singles); probably because I don't like her voice. So I never checked out any of her albums in full. I actually don't think I've heard "Stay with Me". Because I don't listen to the radio I easily completely miss even big hits.

Interesting chart this week. Of all the songs in the top 40 I like these:

2 (NEW) Selena Gomez – Me & The Rhythm
    3 (1) Blackmore’s Night – Will O’ The Wisp
5 (2) Jasmine Thompson – Do It Now
7 (NEW) Foxes – Better Love
10 (6) Selena Gomez – Same Old Love
11 (5) Ellie Goulding – On My Mind
    12 (10) Loreen – I’m In It With You *G*
    13 (8) Lena – Wild & Free
    16 (17) Jasmine Thompson – Adore *P*
17 (9) Lana Del Rey – High By The Beach *G*
    20 (12) Taylor Swift – Wildest Dreams
    30 (21) Carrie Underwood – Smoke Break
    31 (24) Selena Gomez – Good For You *G*
    33 (26) Nightwish – Élan *2xP*
    35 (28) Inna – Devil’s Paradise *G*
    38 (34) Lena – Traffic Lights *G*
40 (31) Marina Kaye feat. Lindsey Stirling – Sounds Like Heaven *P*

I've heard your new #1 but for me it was one of the more boring songs on the album. "Me and the Rhythm" is great though! I liked it from the first time I heard it very late last week. "Better Love" is one of those songs I liked when I heard it for the first time a few weeks (?) ago but then haven't gotten around to actually listen to again. I also haven't had time yet to check out some of the other new entries that I haven't heard.

Glad to see Lana didn't become #1 on the albums chart!

Yes, she's definitely the empress of my charts with all those #1s!

Well i think "Me & The Rhythm" isn't a #1 song anyway. She'll be blocked this week again and i think it won't reach the top, but #2 is a great peak too

No, i only read some positive stuff about it. I'll check it out asap

i guess i have to disappoint you about "Me & The Rhythm". It will get a great second week, but i'm starting to skip it more often now so it'll be very hard to go to #1 next week or in the future overall. But hey, #2 for a promo single is more than fine
Kinda sad to read that about Zara. What do you think about her other single "Lush Life"?

I haven't even watched it yet to be honest. I only started to watch a few seconds
I agree that it's underrated... but it'll drop even more this week

No But there's a chance she'll do so in the future if there's a quiet week.
I hope you will like the album too
"Heartbeat" is nice, but it sounds like an album track to me so far. I prefer "Smoke Break"... still excited for the album

Glad to hear that, it's definitely one of the best songs released this year!
If you've get the time to listen to it, i'm sure you will like it (if you liked the singles, you will definitely like it )

She will leave the charts this week But yeah there's a huge chance the song climbs back when the album comes out, don't worry
I'm not sure about that. It's just a countdown release, isn't it? Then it won't chart...

Oh wow, you're probably one of only a few members who really like it I wasn't sure about it at first, but i think it's a very catchy, good pop track now. Glad you like GaGa's & Selena's tracks and i hope "On My Mind" grows on you, as i didn't like it at first as well

I feel the same about "Stories". "True" was miles better :( I hope it grows on us...

Good to hear that It's one of my favorite songs of the album, so i'm happy it was chosen to be the 2nd single. However i think it will be another flop for her :(
Glad to hear that, "Revival" is really good and will make an impact on my charts this week too

    I hope you like(d) it?
I think "Better Love" is the best song by Foxes so far. But i'm not a big fan of hers in general, but "Glorious" was pretty great.
Yes, but it's weaker than everything from her last album :(

Interesting to know that about Sia... i always really liked her voice. It's one of those voices you'd always recognize
If you've got some time left, please try to check out "Stay With Me". It was a big highlight of 2014 in my opinion

Glad to see you like so many entries on my charts last week, especially the two new entries by Selena and Foxes!
Yeah i think "Better Love" was already released several weeks ago, but i completely forgot about it. I just downloaded it like two weeks ago, that's why it only entered my charts now.

Haha i knew you would like that

thanks so much for all comments

week 42/2015 – 15 october 2015 Never Forget Your Revival

    • Singles Top40

Zara Larsson and MNEK rise to the top with their collaboration “Never Forget You”. The song got the top spot easily due to my love to its video and also due to the fact that it’s the most played single this week as well. Zara even gets a second song in the Top3, as her very own “Lush Life” continues to climb even further, up 18-3 this week. Selena Gomez remains at #2 with “Me & The Rhythm”.

There are five new entries and two re-entries on this weeks charts. The highest new entry belongs to irish songstress Enya, whose finally celebrating her comeback with the single “Echoes In Rain”, which immediately becomes a Top10 success (#6). Ten positions lower, Birdy and Rhodes enter the charts with their ballad “Let It All Go” as Rhodes’ first and Birdy’s fifth appearance on the charts. Hailee Steinfeld’s debut single “Love Myself” is already a minor hit in several countries and finally breaks into my charts as well at #24. Another newcomer is Shawn Mendes, whose making his first entry ever as well by debuting at #30 with his breakthrough single “Stitches”, with Olly Murs being the lowest new entry as his single “Kiss Me” enters the charts at #36.

As mentioned, there are also two re-entries. After a very disappointing start and run overall with just one week, Avicii is back at #26 with “For A Better Day”. It ties the peak of the previous single “Waiting For Love” now, which also underperformed compared to Avicii’s earlier singles. The second re-entry is “Some Kind Of Heaven” by Hurts, which is back at #37 due to their new album “Surrender”. This is also a new peak, as it only made it to #39 some weeks ago.

Lana Del Rey is already down 1-4 with “Music To Watch Boys To”, and it most likely won’t do as well as “High By The Beach” did, which leaves the Top20 for the first time after ten weeks this week by falling 17-28. Selena Gomez’ other entries benefit a lot from her newly released album “Revival”. The current single “Same Old Love” is back into the Top5 (10-5), and the lead single “Good For You” leaps 31-10, giving her three entries in the Top10. It’s already the second time she achieves that feature, as she sat at the nearly same positions in summer 2011 with “Love You Like A Love Song” (#1), “Bang Bang Bang” (#5) and “Who Says” (#10), but that wasn’t in the release week of the album “When The Sun Goes Down”, but a week later. Blackmore’s Night’s “Will O’ The Wisp” (3-7), Jasmine Thompson’s “Do It Now” (5-8) and Lady GaGa’s “Til It Happens To You” (6-9) fill out the Top10.

Foxes’ “Better Love” (7-12) and Sia’s “Alive” (8-13) have to leave the Top10. Meanwhile, Disclosure and Lorde are about to go into them, as their “Magnets” is up 15-11. Felix Jaehn is back in the upper half as his “Book Of Love” climbs back up 21-17. Lena’s “Wild & Free” is doing much worse than its predecessor, as it’s already down 13-22 in its fifth week, followed by “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift which leaves the upper half as well (20-23). Sam Smith’s departure from the Top20 is even worse though, as his “Writing’s On The Wall” tumbles 19-38. Between all these drops there’s one interesting climb, as “Sugar” by Robin Schulz recovers 34-27. Last but not least, Alvaro Soler’s debut hit “El mismo sol” started weak, but grew week by week and became one of the songs of the summer 2015. The song will probably leave the charts soon as it’s down 29-34 this week, but it gets certified with Gold this week, being now also his first certified entry ever.
With “Sounds Like Heaven” by Marina Kaye and “Traffic Lights” by Lena, two of the most successful songs of 2015 are leaving the Top40 for their first times this week.

Selena Gomez’ “Good For You” is the biggest climber, while Sam Smith’s bond theme “Writing’s On The Wall” is the biggest loser this week.

    • Album Top20

It doesn’t come as a big surprise, but Selena Gomez gets her sixth consecutive top album with “Revival” this week. “Revival” is her fifth studio album overall, and her second since the break-up with ‘The Scene’. All of her entries but her debut “Kiss & Tell” made it to number one in the first week, and “Kiss & Tell” is also her studio album with the least weeks on top with four weeks. But that one was actually released before my album charts started, and it would have probably debuted on top as well if there was a charts during its release. Selena is also the only artist so far who owns an album which spent a two-digit-number of consecutive weeks on top of the album charts, as “When The Sun Goes Down” spent its first ten weeks at #1. Her most successful album so far is the second release “A Year Without Rain”, which spent seven weeks at #1, stayed on the charts for 33 weeks and is currently certified with 5x Gold.

Blackmore’s Night’s run is everything but disappointing, and after three weeks on top, their “All Our Yesterdays” slips down to #2 now. Lana Del Rey remains behind them, as her “Honeymon” slips one position as well to #3. The Weeknd has just released two remixes of his single “The Hills”, and has announced the third single “In The Night”. Despite having currently no song in the Singles Top40, his album “Beauty Behind The Madness” stays at #4, followed by Jasmine Thompson whose down 3-5 with her “Adore” EP. While Janet Jackson makes her very first appearance on my album charts with “Unbreakable” (#6), Hurts’ new album “Surrender” makes a rather weak entry at #7 compared to the #2-peaking previous release “Exile”. Lena’s “Crystal Sky” rises one spot (9-8), Blackmore’s Night’s second entry “Under A Violet Moon” drops 5-9 and Carly Rae Jepsen decreases with “E-Mo-Tion” (7-10).

Troye Sivan leaves the Top10 after five weeks as his “WILD EP” is down 6-11. The singer just announced his debut album “Blue Neighbourhood”, which will be released in december. Avicii is already down 8-12 with “Stories” in his second week, but it’s likely to see him recovering a little bit if his current single continues to pick up. Jessie J spends her 40th week on the charts with “Sweet Talker” (17-19). There weren’t many albums to do so, and the album gets honoured even more by getting certified with 2x Platinum this week. One position below, Selena Gomez makes a little return as “For You” is back at #20. The best of compilation gets certified with Gold this week.

    • Airplay Top10

Selena Gomez also rules the Airplay Top10 as her new album “Revival” got played several times. The album track “Kill Em With Kindness” is the most played one, with 110 plays since its release last friday, followed by the tropical house track “Survivors” with 60 plays. The current number one from the singles charts – “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson and MNEK – slips 2-3 with 59 plays. Zara Larsson’s other current hit single “Lush Life” also makes its first appearance on the airplay charts, entering it at #9 with 32 plays.

The rest of the charts is all about Selena Gomez. “Me & My Girls” is new at #4 as the only deluxe edition track, followed by the promo single “Me & The Rhythm” which is down 1-5. “Body Heat” debuts at #6, while the singles “Good For You” (#7) and “Same Old Love” (#8) make a re-entry. Closing the charts is “Sober”, which is rumoured to be the third official single of “Revival”. Just missing the Top10 with 24 plays is the fan favorite “Hands To Myself”. “Nobody”, “Perfect” and “Outta My Hands (Loco)” got played 20 times, “Camouflage” 19 times, “Cologne” 18 times, “Rise” 16 times and the opener & title track “Revival” is the least played song with 15 plays.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 96 to 509 (+23.2%) compared to last week.

Really pleased to see that position for Enya

Also great to see the new Birdy song entering.

Outstanding and well-deserved position for Selena's album

I like Janet's sound, which is the reason why the album was part of my Albums Of The Week, however I have to say that I miss some really catchy hooks to make me re-listen to it again and again.

Oh glad to see you like Enya's new song as well. I was always a little fan of her music and "Echoes In Rain" is really beautiful
Same for Birdy... i hope she announces her third album soon. Her debut and "Fire Within" were really strong!

Glad you like Selena's entry. The album is really good!
What about "Burnitup!"? I think that one is catchy as hell
