Blade Runner 2049 has not lived up to expectations at the box office and is projected to make a measly $32.6 million over opening weekend. That’s a dystopian reality for a film that cost $155 million to make.

A cracking film none the less. Spectacular!
Hopefully a few awards for Harrison

In the UK it has done very well. Much better than the US box office suggested - UK gross twice as high in equivalency.
The US has very different marketing and any number of things could have scuppered it. The home video release will have no such problems.

It's v good - not quite the masterpiece critics say but it's 4/5 for me. Getting rid of Johannson for the score was a mistake, it can't live up to Vangelis and shouldn't be trying to.

This is visually quite stunning like the original, but did seem overlong, 4/5 would probably be my score as well, it's great but indeed not a masterpiece

I've not seen a bad film this year at the cinema, Alien Covenant probably the only one that disappointed me at all

I'm shocked they spent $150M USA+ on a movie with very little dialog and action.

                It was so s l o w.

Harrison Ford shows up 1 hour and 40 minutes into it!

The only good thing was that there were more major female roles than male roles.

What movie should I watch first? Original Blade Runner or Blade Runner 2049?

They are two completely distinct interpretations.
Start with the Harrison Ford version which is genius. Then the one with Ryan Gosling which is extremely sombre and I really liked, too.

The audiovisual of this movie is extraordinary.. But so is the pacing and length of this movie. It was soooo slow and the plot was very non original. Shame. Villeneuve is great director. Arrival was 10 times better!
