Yeah! But the song is such a borefest and the video makes no sense at all. It's also one of her worst singles covers, bar Rain. She looks like some siamese twin tantra mum.
    The video makes perfect sense...

    Awful single cover.

    Great video!

If WBR had released a 12-inch single for this in the USA, it probably would have went Top 10.

The scenes showing Madonna walking alone on the beach was an homage to actress Joan Crawford in the 1946 film, Humoresque.

,,,and the chess scene was inspired by that in the 1968 heist film, The Thomas Crown Affair (with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway).

Great song and phenomenal video. The actor in the video, Goran Višnji?, would later star in 'ER'.

Wow just looked him up on wiki and saw that he was born in 1972 making him aged 25/26 in the video. I always thought he was some mid 40s guy

Such a beautiful song and will always remain one of my favourites.

What beach do you think she was walking on? It was a stand in she only recorded some fake scenes in the studio which were good

Yeah the cover is kinda ugly, she looks like a witch.
And it’s annoying that this peaked at #11 in the US, deserved more!

Absolutely gorgeous song and video. I don't think it's one of her most remembered songs in general, but I would most certainly rank it as one of her best.

Great song. It was very present on TV and radio in Germany, played so often. The best singles were released at the end of the era.

Sad she doesn't perform this on tour.

Weird how she pretends this song doesn't exist because she did such a substantial promo tour for the single (7 months into the album campaign too). I miss the days of promo tours just for a single (I'm thinking the Take A Bow and Don't Tell Me promo tours). The song itself is pretty basic, but I get it. It was the most obvious pop song on the album.

I love the single cover by the way.

It's one of her best and most enduring singles from the 90s and I appreciate it a lot more now than I did at the time.

Btw, one of the biggest artists on Balkan ripped music for his song in 1999 or 2000, this song ended up being his signature song

This is the best Ray of Light track, in my opinion.

I miss this Madonna! As much as the 1990s focused on the "vocal trinity", this album proved that Madonna is still the one to beat artistically.
    I've got so much love
    Got so much patience
    I've learned from the pain
    I turned out amazing
