Should be certified gold within a couple weeks.

It's out for over 4 weeks so it should be certified already from now on, those remaining 22k copies from 500k are definitely already shipped!

Still top 10 and still healthy sales!

Another rap platinum album is coming! This past year has been good to non-generic (though mainstream at times) hip hop!!!
I was waiting for Bey to drop so she could show that T&A arent the only ones smashing album SALES!!!

You think so? I think a drop of 32% in the 5th charting week is a bit too hefty...

More than 500K in the first 5 weeks is good. Now it has the rest of its chart life to duplicate this amount. I'm confident it'll reach 1 million when the era is over.

Nope. I think it's absolutely fine. I am looking at sales trends, not my personal expectations! And he's MORE than cleared 500K (by alot).

So, he will get to a million. We have 4Q coming soon and we're just getting the 2nd single!

Hefty drop by Jay-Z, but check the charting week by both!

Jay-Z's naturally sells big, so that's not a fair comparison lol

What do you mean? All I was saying is that Jay-Z's album is in its 2nd charting week and for that dropping 76% is huge but understandable. Dropping 32% in the 5th charting week is quite a lot, other albums that "deep" in their chart run stabilize or only post mild decreases...

I wasn't saying that it was a big drop but I think an album that maintains its position with less than 40% drop is not a big drop. In my honest opinion, of course. That's all I was saying.
