US remake of the 70s children's sci-fi series (it was ITV's response to Doctor Who and also had a reboot in the 90s) now made cooler by aiming at young adults, and removing certain elements like the jaunting belts and the alien world stories, as well as making TIM the talking computer a minor character (the actor who voices it - Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey - isn't even credited!). It's just started in UK on E4, it's good so far, likeable stars and good fast pace and efficient writing. Was amazed to see Madeleine Mantock from Casualty as Astrid! The original John from the UK 70s version will have a guest spot in a later ep. The original show is good old camp fun from what i've seen. Too young to remember it from the time.

I watch this show too! It started off slow and boring but has gotten better over the past few episodes.

Slow? It's anything but slow - first two eps have been shown here. If that's slow, the rest of the series must be lightning-paced!

It reminds me too much of the legendary Heroes, but Amell is hot so that's a very good reason to keep watching it.

Robbie Amell has been working steadily since it was cancelled though so all is fine
