Aka Adele Dazeem (if you're reading this John Travolta).

Do we have any other fans here of this wonderful woman?

She's a broadway legend, starred in a number of huge movies, had TV roles and possibly unbeknown to the world, released a number of albums.

This is a voice I can listen to all day. She sells out huge world famous venues and has a brilliant following.

If you've never heard her work, go find her music on YouTube - her voice can tell a thousand stories in a way Streisand couldn't (well, maybe not...)

I've been obsessed with Let It Go and her solo version of Defying Gravity from I Stand lately. I really like her voice, I might buy a couple of her albums at some point.

I Stand never set the charts on fire, but it has some great songs!

She was good in that. But a Mother Daughter reunion using Pokerface is just perhaps a moment

I love Idina she is amazing saw her in Wicked when it opened in London. Big fan of her work her voice is gorgeous. I Stand is pretty good, the album the version of Defying Gravity is pretty much what made me fall in love with her.

Wicked was the first musical that I think I fell in love with, so I hold the original cast recording with very high regard. And, although I'd rank Chenoweth as a better singer overall, Idina is flawless on Defying Gravity and No Good Deed.

From Rent, I think Take Me Or Leave Me was good, but there were so many brilliant voices in the cast that she wasn't noticed that much. Tracie Thoms is Seasons Of Love >>>>> everything else.

In Glee, her and Lea Michele's duet of I Dreamed A Dream is my favourite rendition of that song. They also did a good duet of Somewhere.

I have not heard her new album yet, I save all my x-mas songs and albums in dec so will give it a spin tomorrow! Excited for x-factor though I never watch it, last time I tuned in was for Cher. Hopefully we will have UK dates for her recently announced world tour.

Yes! I'm really looking forward to catching her new tour as I'm desperate to hear her sing Let It Go live (or at least hear her *try* to sing it live!). She really needs to follow up the Christmas album with a new studio album: she needs to strike whilst the iron is hot!

But seriously, Idina is one of my favourite voices and favourite performers. I was lucky to catch her 2012 tour, meet her and get my programme signed, but she just blew me away. It's funny because there was a Q&A after the actual show and she spoke about being in this secret disney project and how it was exciting etc etc etc... I remember thinking 'it's probably a small part in something no one will see'

So happy there is a thread for her.
She is exceptional in every way and I am so gutted I never got to see her in Wicked as it's my favourite show.
I hope her performance on the X factor is spectacular to wow everyone.

I missed her in Wicked by a week I wasn't fussed about her back then, but once I got into Wicked, I fell in love with everything to do with it - thankfully I've since seen Idina performing The Wizard and I, For Good and Defying Gravity live, and Kristin Chenoweth performing Popular and For Good (with Kerry Ellis!) so I'm happy.

I wonder what she'll sing on X Factor? Listening to her Christmas album again and I can't decide which song would be best to sell the album. The original track I suppose

I'd say it'll be a medley of Let It Go and something from her album.

Bit disappointed with the album really, some good versions but a bit bland overall. Her cover of River would likely be great live given what a talanted actress she is. I think "All I Want For Christmas Is You" sounds god awful. I will stick to Kristin Chenoweth's "A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas" for my broadway diva Christmas cheer.

I'd be happy if she does a performance as great as this: http://www.today.com/video/today/56532600#56532600

She was amazing in that performance.

I want her to sing a medley. To cross the Atlantic and back in 24 hours to just sing Silent Night is a bit much

Looks likes he's singing the Bublé duet - Dermot said 'Idina Menzel and a very special guest...'

Me too but I'm not sure she'll fill it! I know she did 8 shows at the Apollo theatre in 2012 but capacity was around 800. So she might get around 5000 - 6000 people. Okay, she might do something with it

You underestimate all of the Frozen fans, all those little kids will want to see her sing Let It Go and convince their parents to buy tickets.
